These are photos of an abandoned clothing factory. I believe it is in> Baltimore, Maryland. It is really sad all that was left in the factory. There are two sets of photos: http://community.livejournal.com/abandonedplaces/1518816.html#cutid1

This link was passed along to me. I do not know a thing about the salvage of the factory. If you have question, please contact the owner of the webpages.

Anyone who's interested in these photos, be sure to take a look at the LJ community that it's posted in. I've been following "abandoned places" and enjoy the postings in this community.  I even have some content to contribute at some point, but that's going to have to wait until I make sure I won't get myself in trouble for posting it.   ;)

This is almost creepy.  It looks like scenes from that history channel or discovery channel about what things would look like if humans disappeared from the earth...

There are some photos on AbandonedButNotForgotten.com of the Virginia Renaissance Faire in Fredericksburg, VA.  I think the pictures were posted in 2005, since one of the comments says "... in a place where no one had kept it up for 8 years ...", and there's a picture of a 1997 Faire Program Guide.

Those were great pix of VARF.  Having been able to attend that Faire this past year it was neat to see the "before".

What is it that's so compelling about places like this? Oddly beautiful. I'll be sure to visit the site to see what else has been photographed. Thanks for sharing that. :)

I've only just begun my addiction to Faire, but those pics of VARF brought tears to my eyes...and then daydreams of owning it, and LIVING there!
