Ok, I've decided its time to finally attempt to update mine own garb. I spend most of my available sewing time making garb for my wife, and now two kids, but the quality of the actual construction, and of the garb iteself of theirs has well outstripped mine. I want to make myself a nice doublet, something that will fit me properly. And there in lie the trouble. I generally don't like the feel of most commercial patterns, or cloths, the proportions on my shoulders, arms and such just don't seem to mesh well.
I've used the corset generator, with the bodice adaptations to some success for the wife (I would not recommend it for little girls' garb, the math is just wrong, and you'll pop the poor kid like a grape trying to lace it). I remember seeing somthing about being able to use the generator, with certain adaptations, to make doublets. Is this for doublet styles for women? Or would it work for men? I'm a little doubtfull that it would work the same, but hope that it might, or that there is something similar enough out there. I figure that any chance I have on being pointed in the right direction would come from the folks here.

Not a generator, the way the CCPG works, but a fantastic tutorial for fitting a doublet using a mundane shirt (button shirt/Oxford) that fits you well:
