Greetings, all.  Jean Flamingo here, and I need some help with jewelry and other general adornments.  I'm going for somewhat of the gentleman pirate look, someone with an appreciation for some of the finer things such as gems stones, gold and other sparklies.  Where are some of the places you go to for your jewelry and are there any specific vendors at either Scarby or TRF that you would recommend I give a look to?
Thanks for all your help.

Are you looking for genuine stones/gems or costume jewelry?
Avast! I'll make ye part of me balanced breakfast!

Pirate Bob and I get the majority of our "bling" at the local Chinese trading company stores...inexpensive costume jewelry (some looks really expensive!)...not in TX, so couldn't tell you about local faire vendors.
I'm not fat, it's just that a skinny body couldn't hold ALL THIS PERSONALITY! ;)

He is looking for costume jewelry mostly.  However if there are certain jewelry makers at faires that do good work he may want some of those as well.

(He's my rogue so I'll pass the message on to him.  ;D)
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

Well........if you can make it to Dallas.....Harry Hines between LBJ and Walnut Hill is lined with Asian shops selling costume jewelry of varying quantity.

This is where quite a bit of mine came from.

Also, on Harry Hines just North of LBJ is Sam Moon Trading Co.
Not what it used to be, but they have bling by the dead-weight tonnage.

If you have the time and desire to "treasure hunt", check out yard and estate sales, especially from the elderly!  My gramma has literally just under 100 (yes, I counted them) costume jewelry rings.  Some marvelously huge and gaudy, some rather smallish that could be used for other things.
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

There is also a Sam Moon in houston, off North I-45, near 242 (I think)

Have not looked closely, but seems to have some nice shinies

I also have to agree with Marietta..Estate and Yard sales, also flea markets (esp. in the country like around Conroe, Livingston, etc). You can find some great pieces that way.
