I am told there is to be something of a Steampunk invasion.  Though they credit as mostly Anime, looking at the site, I'd say SP is probably going to play a big role this year...

The Crew of Neo Dulcimer will be attending ikkicon this year (that's the crew I'm with btw) There's between 5-12 of us depending on who can attend do were going to help represent SP.

So after this weekend rockin' out the steampunk funness, it finally kicked my butt into gear to finally start on my own outfit.  My outfit will be the same design as my sister and mom's.  The material I bought is a beautiful dark red shiny material where the shine looks black and the material looks like a bunch of squares sewn together.  I will trim it all in a black shiny material as a frill on the edges like the brown ones on my moms outfit.  It will kind of match theirs, but kind of not cause theirs has two tone squares and I only have one color.  I cut out the skirt and made my pattern for the top with newspaper so I can cut it tonight.  I also just bought 1 ounce of old watch gears and toggles and such.  Also going to get a few more SP items from Historical Emporium site online.

I've got TRF coming up, then working hammer and tongs on finishing SP and Dickens/Ball stuff as well.  ACK!

On the plus side, found lovely $1.50/yd calico for Chris some shirts - at Walmart!  Soft red with black pattern on one, slate blue in the other.

The LandShark's Revenge is now sweet history.  Somewhere betwixt getting in the wrong Black Lincoln & the right Black Lincoln - don't ask - it was lost to the fates.  While I am heartbroken beyond words, I must remember that it was lost in a good cause.
