Like a lady in a bustled gown, or an airship mechanic carrying around a tool of his/her trade. I can picture the pose in my head I just am having a bit of a time sketching it.

Any time.  I may try to put some steampunk art up on ebay along with my horse stuff.  Right now I'm working on a couple of pieces for Ikkicon.

Oh!  Attending a live-drawing class on Sunday (the first in several years) and the models were Steampunk'd!

Finished two pieces of art on Sunday, sketched at least 4 usable poses, and started painting another!!!

:highfive: Someone else who remembers Chicken Man!!! I mentioned him on another forum (with mostly younger members) and they all thought I was nuts. Well.... I am nuts but that's not the point....................

For AHE, my sis and I steampunked my mom!!!  SHe looked rockin'!!





We also made up characters for me, my sister, and her.  We are 3 lady adventurers each with our own task on our journeys.  My mom is in charge of keeping long focus on things with her monocles and binoculars and such.  My sister is in charge of the time keeping with many clocks and such and also the plans.  I am the map maker and in charge of navigating with a compass.  When we get all the outfits together, it's going to be lots of fun!!  My sister bought the same outfit as my mom only in plum and copper colors instead.

Very lovely indeed. Those are most wonderfull outfits, and I like the stories behind them too.

I think I have found a drool worthy corset that I want.

Now if I were to have some fabric to send her...like this

for example I'd have a wonderful start on my steamy-lady look.

Oh and coupled with a skirt that looks similar to this and I think I'd be about set for a steamy lady.

I'm looking at the possibility of Ikkicon in Austin over NYE weekend.  I hear (and see on their site) it's supposed to be Steamy.  Any local takers?

Most excellent news, Sky Pirates!  Phil & Kaja Foglio of Girl Genius, etc. fame are inducted into our (dis)honorable group.  Although you'll have to take my word on it, they are both wearing the badges I made up for TRF AHE - coz my camera sucks: 



and Girl Genius fans?  Kaja dropped a bomb in my lap re Mamma Gkika.  Phil shot her such a look, so I'm keeping that under my hat.

I commissioned a piece of art from Phil and bought a sketch of Mamma in what I can only assume is her General's uniform - her battle axe is named "Dollink".  I'll have to see if I can get my scanner working.

It was great to spend time with Sealion - she is such a nice person & it was great to have someone to shoot the bull with & discuss panels, etc.

OK, so what's this Ikkicon thing about?  I'll be in Austin over NYE weekend...

BTW, Rachel and I steampunked it out at TRF on Saturday... However, we of course forgot our camera..  We wore two completely new outfits and had no camera... We did have a friend with us who had a camera, so there will be pics, but not sure when.  It was SOOOO much fun!  I finally got myself a beautiful set of goggles.  Technically I didn't wear my outfit or anything, but I did wear my moms cute outfit and had a blast in it.

The Ikkicon sounds great, but will not be feasible financially, what w/WindyCon behind me, another TRF weekend, and then Christmas.  Ah, well.
