YAY. . . . . THE CONCORDIUM GOES TO PRESS THIS WEEK!

Is this a by subscription mag only or will it be carried by B&N, etc?  I'd love to get my crocheted mitts on one.

It's available by subscription only, mates.  B&N thinks that the audience for the magazine is too small.

SQUUEEEEEEEEEEEE!!  My new Damsel jacket just shipped!  I am referring to the one I posted pics of a while ago in this thread. :)

*doing happy dance*

Do post pics when you get it! I just placed an order with her for an overbust vest with tails, I've been waiting years to save up. I'm so excited to see what yours looks like!

Awww... that sucks!  Hope you can get it sorted out by AHE!

Looks like I've been "informed" that we will be Faeries at least one day of that weekend, so I'm thinking about some sort of SP Faerie, perhaps...  (I insisted on SP last year, and she went along, so this year she gets to choose)  I saw the coolest wire wings in one of the fashion show albums last year, and they looked at least possible to make...  I'm one of those people who is still deciding what to wear as I'm headed for the door, though, so we'll see what I actually have on when I get there, I suppose.  ::)

I am not worried about it D.  This is my second purchase with her.  My first purchase was while at OKRF.

It only took about 3 to 4 weeks max to get this coat.  I have sent her a note and I hope to get this straghtened out quickly.

After sewing much of the weekend, here is my military jacket for FenCon next month.  It started out as a Nancy Reagan era jacket from Goodwill.  I reshaped the hem and  added almost 8 yards of silk ribbon and then metallic cord/trim/reproduction buttons.  The front trim was inspired by Jude Law's Dr. Watson dinner jacket.  And I apologize for the craptastic photo quality.

For some reason, Photobucket isn't flipping the picture vertically, so:

Plus they've got these coming soon:

I really like retroscope fashions and after I found their website I looked for other stuff similar to it online. I found a site called Fanplusfriend.com that had the exact same stuff for about the same price while having tons of other stuff. Mostly it was Lolita styled things but they had the most amazing coats.

I really liked this bustle skirt and decided to order it. I did a bit of research about the site to make sure it was legit and the only problems I saw were from people who made custom orders, sometimes the site messed up the sizing. Since mine wasn't custom, I decided to buy. I put my credit card info in and ordered the right size and I thought everything was alright. Well the confirmation email I got that I thought would tell me that everything went through said something like "ok well we can't take the money out of your card ourselves so you need to go to this site and enter in the info again". Like I had to memorize the final price and enter it into a different site and everything, it was really weird.

I just didn't feel right and decided not to buy. Like I said, retroscope fashion has a lot of the same stuff which is nice. I read on their site somewhere, I forget, that fanplusfriend supplies them with their stuff that the woman who owns the site designs, I think. I don't remember well, and i'm not saying anything is wrong with retroscope, I just had a problem with fanplusfriend. Has anyone ever bought from FPF? While I didn't, they have some cool stuff and thankfully retroscope has the bustle I was going to get from FPF, so I shall get it there.

Sorry to hear you had problems w/FPF...however you should be ok w/RS. I got my skirt, mourning dress & hat from there & all was smooth. No idea about FPF though...
