I seem to have "run out of steam" for sewing projects, too. I still haven't gotten around to shopping for fabric let alone making the skirt I want for WC. I will have plenty to wear without it but nothing "fancy" for Saturday night.
I did work on a kindasorta steamy project today- I am taking apart some old watches so that I can put the teeny tiny gears into some cast resin eyechips for one of my Blythe dolls. (Um...yeah...I just got a second doll and all of my creative energy has gone to working on them. :whome: )

Congratulations on the new addition, Sealion.  Judging from your faire SP portrait, you'll look bee-yootiful on Saturday night.

I found some really cute cloths, some in plus size that would work great for Steampunk http://www.chinatowner.com

More pics of NEW THINGS! I made them a few weeks ago but just now am getting around to putting pics on my comp...

These are more pieces to the steampunk outfit ive posted pics of before (vest jacket and bloomers)

overskirt, bustle thing...I don't know what to call it for sure

sideish view of same thing

sadly the pics don't do ^that^fabric^ justice...its a beautiful brocade with a victorian damask pattern on it in golds and rusts on a black background...

waist cincher front

waist cincher back

canvas backed leather^

I'm super happy with my stuff so far and can't wait to wear it!

Pretty. Odd.

I am totally digging your waist cincher and the cut of that overskirt is rather fetching.  I'm curious what you will put on those legs under it.  Short blousy bloomers and stockings perchance?

Can hardly wait to see this in an ensemble.  Love the cincher - great work!

Well Greg and I are planning to hit up The Church (goth club in dallas) tomorrow night in Steampunk. We're both missing a bunch of accessories but I want to do it anyway. We're finally gonna be getting dog tags...dog tags=no cover! WOOO! That'll save us a ton of money in the long run! I'll make sure we get a couple pics and I'll post them this weekend

We used to have a goth club here in OKC called The Church, housed in a defunct Episcopal church, but it was recently sold and now it's Club Purgatory, a heavy/death metal club...  LOL  Still full of goths, they're just death-head gothpunks, now.

OH, get pics of his gear too.  I'm guessing he'll have stuff I can more easily emulate if I like it.
