Lady Kett

A coworker of mine received this catalog at home and brought it in today for me. I think it has lots of potential for some garbing, especially on the Fantasy front (definitely not H/A).

Has anyone here ever purchased anything from them and have opinions on their stuff?

I really like the Legacy Brocaded Coat and am trying to decide if I think it looks piratey enough to work with for faire garb. What do you think? Too cheesy or do-able?

I love their stuff, but I've never ordered any of their clothes (although I always say I'm going to, but...).  The gang over on the Wenches' Guild boards are all big Pyramid fans.  They say their stuff runs small, so be warned.

Bonny Pearl

I've bought a couple of items from Pyramid.  As far as clothing goes, the sizes seem to run a bit small.  Easy to exchange and/or refund though.

I get their magazine every month and drool.  :P

Ditto here I love their stuff but. Have yet to order anything. Good to know that their sizes run small.

I received a necklace from their catalog as a gift, and it was beautifully made and of excellent quality...otherwise, I'm with the other droolers ~ I would love to purchase from them someday, but I rarely have the money for such things  :-[

I personally have never bought anything from them, but my sister did this year for her virgian visit to CoRF. She got the pirate dress (very cute top and it fit her just fine) and the suede bodice (also fit fine) There are pictures of her on my pbase site. Looke for the beautiful blonde with shoulder lenght hair. She has a black and burgandy skirt on (from dress like a pirate) Her new faire garb was very nice for a first timer.

I personally droll over a lot of their clothing. Very pretty stuff

There is a long dress I have been meaning  to order. Black Chiffon overlay with Silk Screened red roses and sequins on it.

Have purchased several items from Pyramid, myself.  Never noticed what others have said about sizes running small, though.
Excellent service, good quality, no complaints here.  They always give fabric content, which is important.
I have given many holiday gifts from this catalog, and always well received.

I've drooled over that particular coat for my pirate twin, and my fiance agreed.  We just think that since I'm small, it probably won't fit.  I'd say - go for it!

(Gem - if you're right about the sizing, I may have to make the leap myself.)

I *love* getting this catalog but I must be in the minority when I tell you I have not had good luck.   I ordered three tops.  2 were way too small (yes, I did order the right size for me) and the third was so just not what I thought it would be from the picture.  It was flimsy, didn't drape correctly, felt like the seams were in the wrong places.  It took quite a while to see the return show up on my card as well.

Will I try again?  Probably.  Too many things in there that I like.  Just wish they'd get new stuff more often.  Seems these same clothes have been in here for more than a year.

Just my 2 pence worth.
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

MG, thanks for the review!  Their stuff is pricey, so I'd really want the quality to be spot on.  I don't drop $70 on a top every day, after all.  Could you tell us which tops you bought?

I forgot that I actually have a pair of shoes from there that I love!  I have their rose silk slip-ons, which I snatched up the minute they went on sale, because I thought they were beautiful enough to be a decorative object, even if they weren't comfortable.  It turns out, I wear them all the time!  I love them with jeans, and I'm also getting ready to wear them to a very fancy dinner (the Caldecott/Newbery dinner at the American Library Association convention next weekend, for any children's lit nerds out there.  My publisher snagged me tickets!).

Sorry... strayed off-topic there for a minute!

WindChime

I've purchased some statues from them. I love them both. I usally find things in the clearance section on the website that way I can justify the purchase. never got clothes from them but am eyeing up a couple of skirts.

I'm another drooler! I can never seem to find anything to wear from their catalogues, because I'm plus sized and their clothes, lovely as they are, are mostly too small for me. I will find some things (and there seem to be more plus sized clothes on their website than in their paper catalogues), but I usually can't afford it. And I would like clothes that I could wear more often than one day at the faire.

I am going to order some boots from there for my husband's costume before the faire this year.

RumbaRue

I've bought a few things from that catalog. Depending on their sizes they mention in their catalogs, clothes: - a large will fit a size 16 gal, so go up to either x-Large or 1X.
I have a couple of dresses from them and they fit fine, but I had to go up to a 1x for the fit, where normally I might wear just a large or x-large.

Sadly their jewelry isn't up to par. I bought a ring with amethyist  and Peridot and two stones fell out two days after I got it. So I returned the ring and exchanged it for another, and again the center stone fell out and disappeared in the carpet. So I didn't bother getting another one. Also, the stone colors are not good (tend to be very light) and their gems are not of the best quality, which is sad considering the high prices they charge for the jewelery.
