I remember the landing quite well... The flight, not so much.  It's something about Rennie Para-sailing that will keep it an unrecognized faire event.

The hubby and I wanted to give a big thank you to PR for being so hospitable and letting us camp with them!  It was great being able to put some faces to names . We had a great weekend, even with the ren-nado coming through.  Hope to see some of y'all again at Highland Fling!

It was great to meet you to (even tho a certain Keeper kept y'all to himself most of the weekend lol).
Next time we will bring you on a walkabout to meet the rest of the world out there.
Looking forward to Highland as well!

FYI, for those who may not know, PR gives our normal location over to the Queen's Own from Scarby each year for highland weekend. Some of us will still be there but not all if ya go looking for us.

BTW, a realization came up yesterday.
In camping at faires we have gone through an ice storm, multiple floods, snow, fire, and now the RenNado.
We are down to earthquakes and volcanos now and I am pretty sure that even that would never stop me from making the trek to TRF or any faire.
(Although I was told that Trinn will not go if there is a plague of locusts involved)

Interesting weekend indeed!  Friday & Saturday were fan-renn-tastic!!  Enjoyed seeing lots of familiar faces and meeting some folks for a first time.  A weekend with my PR clan is always a good time and this was no exception.  Then the RenNado started up around 4:30 on Sunday morning.  I didn't loose any thing myself, but I know allot of folks had equipment damaged beyond repair.  I just got wet, actually just damp so I came out of it pretty clean.
>  Good Meeting you Fraser.  A Loki testing some weekend sounds pretty good.  Teach can really whip up some killer Loki.
>  Spent allot of time sitting around and chatting it up with Keeper.  Good times as always.
>  Met Rani also, it was nice to meet you and shake your hand.
>  Lady Alecia:  nice to meet you and your hubby.  Hope to see you in PR camp in the future.
>  The BS Crew:  what can be said, good times as usual.
I could go on for awhile throwing out names for a bunch of people, but I'll just say I had a grand time and enjoyed the company of allot of people.

Surviving the RenNado was interesting, indeed! I woke up to a tent pole in my face and my husband telling me to get up, get out of the tent and get in the car. LOL. But even so, all good times and all good things!

I wish I'd gotten pics of the wishing well our tent turned into Seriously, a bunch of change had gotten scattered on the floor with 4"-8" of standing water in it, and we started joking about people tossing in quarters and making a wish.

Pros of this last weekend-
* Saturday was a blast, Tiff and I got to show off our new outfits and got LOTS of pics taken, and spent most of the day with Alex and Betty, which was fun
* Got to spend time with my McShuggies
* Mouse had a line longer than a soup kitchen during the Great Depression to flog him for grievances 
* I can now actually say "Did that, got the T-shirt" once the Rennado shirts are made
* Got a free shower early Sunday
* Tiff now has a faire story about her ("I'm wet! And in a sports bra!" )
* The peoples

Cons-
* people losing stuff in the 'nado
* didn't see one damned flying shark, I feel cheated
