Let The Countdown Begin!

We are very thankful it wasn't worse.   Right after my last post,  we lost power,  heard the transformer blow.   We thought we would be out till the weekend.   Amazingly,  it just came back on.   Our neighbors across the street have been out since Friday night and still not back on.  It's still been rainy and windy all day but hopefully it will clear tomorrow.   We have plenty of food and water and we're safe.   I thank the gods for that!

Do you know how irratating it is to look across the street and see you neighbor chilling, with his fan blowing on him...since he has power and you don't?  Across the damn street.

I know Centerpoint is stacked but DAMN.

So glad to hear that Fraser!
Just found out our school district will be out all next week also.   Roof Leaks in every school,  some had flooding.   La Marque schools were hit worse than Texas City,  partly because they are older but they also sit lower for the most part.

We went to Dickinson this morning to help with cleanup.   The entire neighborhood lost everything.   It was very humbling to see how lucky we were. This afternoon we go to my sister's house to help her.
