Uhhhh, yeah... about that.  Do I lose my Rennie card if I admit that I don't actually LIKE beer?!?  And I won't drink it even if it's FREE?!? 

Oh, although... I was introduced to something called a SnakeBite last year at TRF, which consists of half stout and half cider, and I have to admit... it's faaaaar more delicious than I would have thought possible!  The cider cuts the bitterness, and the stout cuts enough of the sweet so that it's the perfect balance.  Who new?!? 

Oh, yeah... I also basically save my liver for Faire, since it's still relatively sensitive and doesn't take well to being abused unless I spend several hours a day walking off the effects of the booze (and guzzling many liters of water, as well).

HUZZAH for RBE's!!!  Blender Roulette is starting to look like it could get really fun... or, uhhh... really ugly, if people don't recognize their limits!    heheh  I'm making a list of yummy ingredients, and I'm hoping I can get my hands on one in particular that could make it all very interesting, indeed! 

Oh, and correction from earlier.  It was at Scarby last year that Grov introduced me to the SnakeBite, and not TRF.  I just continued to drink them at TRF, that's all...

Oh, nice, Fraser... tease me with Ravenswood, why don'tcha?    Did you order something in yummy leather?  Too bad they don't make that leather kilt I've been fantasizing about... 

Bonny, I usually just keep my camping gear in the van, that way it's all there if I have a Random Camping Emergency (happens more often than you might think, actually)!  heheh  My renlet seems to think that at 9 y/o she is ready for her OWN tent this year, and we also have an extra 2 person tent, so we will be showing up with 3 tents this year, and will likely end up having the two as extras...    Well, unless she gets proprietary and sleeps in hers just so no one else can!   

The garb, on the other hand, is a vastly different story, and every year I get more ambitious about sewing, and uhhhh, yeah... well, we'll see. 

Blue, all I know about your character is that she likes leeches, and maybe tapeworms...  and killing the French.  Or maybe killing everyone.  Are you a Medici this year, by chance? 

Queen Bonnie, no one would dare try to take your Rennie card!!!  In fact, I think everyone should bring you tribute in the form of tiny bottles (because they're easier to stow in various pouches) of Glenfiddich... or your label of choice, of course!

I'm at lunch today, meeting with a coworker. I'm mid-speech and all of a sudden I hear BAGPIPES!


And of course like any good Rennie, I stop everything I'm doing and get a big huge dumb grin on my face and a nice big "HUZZAH!" manages to escape me before I realize I'm in an Applebees...and in a suit...and...talking business...and the bagpipes were playing from someone's phone..((In retrospect, I also recall being tempted to run over to the player of said i-phone bagpipes and hug-tackle them and talk their ears off about Faire and see if they were a Rennie...but...I guess a random shouting of HUZZAH versus possibly being charged with assaulting a stranger was the safer route...whew!))

I wasn't even upset about appearing insane to all of those 'daners in the restaurant or my coworker (everyone knows me as the 'pirate geek girl' at work anyway!); moreso I was just darn dissappointed because Bagpipes = Instant Faire-On Switch! - But, Avast! - No faire...yet
