This makes me sad because she was my favorite character.

I remember on a PBS marathon she was talking about when the show first started, she was dying her hair a different color everyday before she started wearing wigs. She said it would humiliate her kids taking them and picking them up from school with a different hair color everyday..

She will be missed.. :'(

There were two other British comedies, besides "Are You Being Served?" and "Grace and Favor" (US title - "Are You Being Served? Again!"), that have been shown on PBS here in Texas - "My Husband and I" (where she starred opposite her actual husband, actor William Moore) and "That's My Boy".
