Hey Omaha R/F Types - Who is interested in caravanning down to KCRF?

Hey folks!

I will post this by the Omaha fest information as well, but I was wondering if anyone would like to put together a carpool or convoy to head down to the KCRF for one of the weekends.  Leave on a Friday afternoon, head back Sunday afternoon.  Thoughts?  Let me/us know!

Opening weekend this weekend.  Bring 5 cans of food, and you get 2 for 1 admission.  Also, did you notice the drop in gas prices today?  And it's supposed to be a dry weekend in Bonner Springs, with a high temp in the mid- to upper-70's.

Not today but definitely in a few weeks (heading to MNRF this weekend - the home faire).  Starting to get people lined up.  Where might be close or easy access hotels to stay at?

Downtown Kansas City wouldn't be bad, and you may be able to get some good deals on Priceline.com.  Overland Park, KS is fairly close as well.  I'm not sure if there's much around Bonner Springs, KS (where the faire is held).  Bonner Springs to Kansas City is kinda like Ashland is to Omaha (I lived in Omaha from 1962 - 1985).

Look for a good price on a hotel.  Downtown KC and Overland Park are both very close (maybe 15 min) from Bonner Springs.
