Bucket Boots, Shoes, or Sandals: Which is your favorite?

As a pirate do you favor bucket boots (fun but not very historical), shoes (historical but harder to find and expensive), or sandals (we are not talking flip-flops!)?

I've got a very comfortable pair of rope sandals, but my bucket boots are by far my favourite!  They've got the Wenchie Seal of Approval.

Definitely boots, bucket or not.

You can't walk around faire in stilettos and sandals leave your feet dirty and you can get a stick jammed on your toes.

I wear ghillies. Boots would cover up the knot detail of my knickerbockers. I have been wanting to get some boots for colder weather though.
