Lady Rebecca

Have any of you seen Mary Stuart, currently playing on Broadway? I saw it yesterday, and it was truly wonderful.

I thought the costuming was an interesting choice, though it took me a little bit to get used to it. All of the men wear 20th cent suits, Mary's maid wears something that seems it could fit in any of the last many centuries, and Mary and Elizabeth both wear gowns with silhouettes from the correct time period, but anachronistic fabrics and patterns.

The lighting was absolutely fantastic. So dramatic, it made a lot of the audience jump on a couple of the light cues. And it rained onstage! It made me want to be at a faire.

Overall, it was terrific!  It only runs through Sunday, so act fast if you want to see it.
