I am glad you like it. ;D  I just tried to give a broader picture of what was going on elsewhere in the world during this period. ;)

I have such a fun Castle planned for tomorrow. Can't wait to post it!  :)

How very cool, Anna! Predjama Castle looks like it's growing right out of the rock cliff! I want to live there.  :)

Isn't that an awesome stronghold. Love that you can slip out the back and get supplies to pelt your enemies with.

Unfortunatly it looks like Warrior Monk posted it earlier. I do a search on prospective castle names but somehow missed this posting. Ah well. Hope you all enjoyed the weekend's pics all the same.

:)  Welcome back. Thanks for letting me take her for a joyride.*Anna hands back the keys to the thread*. Her tank is full and that dent is hardly noticeable.  :D

Anyone think of ice skating on Bouvigne's moat?

Wow. What a location Fuzér Castle has. Talk about defensibility! (Not to mention the view!)

Yeah those stairs would be a deal breaker for me.

Blackrock Castle is very cool looking! And of course you chose an Irish castle for St. Patty's! Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Himeji Castle is absolutely breathtaking...are guys allowed to use that word?  Seriously, it is really beautiful.

Yes! I've had the good fortune to tour Himeji Castle and although there are quite a few castles in Japan having similar features that date from that era, Himeji Castle has remained intact and is the most striking of them all. It is a real gem!

I need to dig up some more castles in Japan. I am hampered somewhat by the language barrier for the less well documented ones.

'belch? Matsuyama Castle' was done by the language filter. For some reason it did not like the actual text of the name.
