Thank you all for the compliments. Unfortunately, unless I can get to Kearny, he'll only be wearing it once. But, oh well, it was worth it anyway. I even got stopped by a garb merchant at Folsom, who wanted to see him and ask questions, as they're planning on offering kid garb next season.

The Victorian Cutaway Coat Commission is finished. It will be shipping out tomorrow, heading up to St. Paul.

The bottom of the coat cuts away where the Silk Lining can be seen. Functional pockets. I added Satin at the lapel edges that coordinate with the Satin on the Vest. I sent the Ascot to the client with his shirt he sent me to add a ribbon strip for the back so that the Ascot doesn't fall off.

The back has a kick pleat. adorned with pewter finished buttons. The skirted bottom hsa knife pleats for ease.

Closeup of the button desogn. Sorry about the chalk marks that did not quite steam off. You can see the herringbone design in the poly/wool belnd fabric

Up next is the "Chaucer Coat" from the movie, "A Knight's Tale".

Hoowil...he is adorable!! HUZZAH on having the patience and time to make baby garb...best I could do was a "kilt" that looked more like a plaid skirt when it was done...it worked enough though for what we needed...hehe
