Holy wow! I've been away for quite a while and catching up on all of your fabulous projects took a well-spent chunk of the evening. Everything looks so wonderful!

Gem, you are so great.

Upon my return, I do have a Halloween contribution. I call her 'Batgirl, 1567'.

Of course the bodice has hidden pockets and loops for all of the Bat-accoutrements. There's even a Bat-purse somewhere around here.

Now, the husband and I can do a DC-ren team-up!

Alisoun, that may be the greatest batgirl costume I've ever seen, very creative.   Awesome job!!!

I know there's a photograph of this in this thread somewhere, but Alisoun *also* did some pretty amazing period superhero garb for her husband, too:

Thanks, all!

Here are shots of our Brave costumes. I wish we had one together that wasn't blurry, but she's 2, so, yeah.

Our "hair" is made of yarn sewn onto winter hats, which was probably the smartest piece of costuming I've made to date.

One more costume left for this season, and then, I get to close down the workroom until next year!

No way she is not 2 yet! She was just a little sprout like yesterday!

Alisoun, love the Bat. Lord Kent and the Brave costumes also look awesome. I especially like the bat emblem on your bodice. Is that embroidery or couching? Either way, I'm loving it.

Gem, the Six Million Dollar Man is very cool. I used to watch that when I was a kid. I even had the doll and the Bionic Woman doll as well.

All very cool stuff by very talented people.

Nice, I've seen that picture of the Lord Clark garb in this thread before, but I never put it together that it was a period Superman costume!  I just noticed the "S" emblem!  :D

I *adore* the Brave costumes!

Rather than working on my long list of stuff I need to get done, I worked on this yesterday:

An 18th C styled hat!  I had a straw base I bought at an 18th C Market Fair and used a remnant of silk taffeta from a gown I made LONG ago.  The trim is trim I bought out in Vegas this past July.   (You wouldn't believe the trim I have from that trip!)  I eventually plan on making a gown to match but the hat is done!

Jacobean stays!  Musketeers, here we come!   ;D

Getting ready for the court of Louis XIII...

Those are beautiful! And just for the record, I've always found 17th c. stays hilarious, the way they leave *the entire bust* exposed! Are you planning your gown to match the same trendy neckline?  ;D

Pretty much!  Not quite exposing colour, but getting close...  There will be lots of lace and pearls to cover with!

Nothing spectacular as compared to what has been done by others here , but worth sharing none the less.

My youngest Granddaugther, Naomie, in her Pebbles Flinstone jumper I whipped up for her for Halloween. The fiorst of MANY costumes I will be making for her over the upcoming years, God willing.
