This gathering is for all of those who love the faire....from near or far, be they playtrons, patrons, cast, vendors, stage acts and musicians, kitchen help or parking attendants! It is a chance to spend time together, celebrate friendships, share the love of the faire, and remember those who are no longer with us. Please pass along the invite to any who may not read these boards.

When: Friday evening, October 2.
Start time: 4:00 p.m until we are ready to say goodnight.
Where: Mumsies farm, way up on the hill. (4 wheel drive not necessary, but it is a dirt road)
Address:1699 Dime Road, Vandergrift, PA 15690
(GPS does not work well with the address, if you haven't been here before, I will get you more detailed directions soon).

This event is BYOB, and bringing a bit to share doesn't hurt either! You are welcome to camp out..bring a tent, stay the night.
Remember, primitive setting, outdoor privy, no electric, no running water.
Please bring a covered dish or snack, and remember to bring chairs.
Bonfire and beautiful sky provided. Let's hope for good weather!

I know everyone is on a very tight budget right now, I say since we are all bringing goodies to share, and we don't have to pay for hall rental, we don't need any cover charge for this one.

*Children are welcome to join us! (unfortunately, I have no time to plan on any kids activities, but, there is plenty of room for them to roam!)

Musicians-we love you, and we love you entertaining us-however, we also realize that you all have a very long weekend ahead of you, and we would rather see you able to enjoy yourselves for the evening too. If you would like to bring along instruments for "acoustical" entertainment, that is fine....no hook up, no worries about set up and pack up! We can also play the "little magic boxes" and all sing along together. Make this a relaxing night for yourselves too!

Please RSVP by posting here, email me, bonniecousins@gmail.com, or my cell phone 724-316-1944
I will keep the list updated as often as I can. When you have decided on the covered dish, let me know, I will add it to the list so we can see what we still need.

Hope you can make it! Mumsies

We unfortunately will not be able to make it.  We have a rehearsal dinner for Heather's sister's wedding the next day.  We hope everyone is safe and has a great time.  Somebody hug everyone else for us.

We will miss you and Heather, but understand the scheduling conflicts. Hopefully winter will be a chance to catch up with those we miss. The list is looking kind of slim....those who haven't posted, or I don't have you on there....please let us know if you will be able to make it. I will be posting more detailed directions for everyone tomorrow-need to work out some kinks in the directions from last year.

I haven't had a lot of feedback yet-hoping there are a few more coming that we just haven't heard from yet. Weather is looking a little so/so for Friday, so have a talk with those weather gods for us.

Remember to bring along chairs. Dress warm-it has been a bit windy up on the mountain!

I will be bringing a roaster of hot dogs and kraut.

Directions: (anyone using a GPS-for some reason, it always brings you out at the beginning of Dime Road, just near the Vandergrift bridge. If this happens, you need to go North on Alternate 66 (which is also Dime Road)....heading away from Vandergrift.

From New Stanton-70 East to exit for PA toll 66 toward Delmont
Follow 66 toll to Delmont,---Where toll road ends in Delmont, it becomes Route 66 north.
Keep going on 66 North all the way to Apollo, approximately 12  miles to Apollo
(when you get to a Y in the road, just past State Police barracks, stay to the RIGHT.) Follow this road (still route 66) until you come down a hill, cross railroad tracks, and then cross the bridge.

***Note, you will pass a BP station before going down the hill to Apollo
DO NOT TURN ONTO ALT. 66 HERE, KEEP GOING DOWN THE HILL , ACROSS THE TRACKS, ACROSS THE BRIDGE TO THE LIGHT, AND MAKE A LEFT (YOU ARE NOW IN APOLLO) AND FOLLOW THE RIVER TO VANDERGRIFT.
Follow Route 66 north, along the river, until you come to another stop light, (it is approximately 2 miles)
(Vandergrift Bridge will be on your left, you want to make a right onto Alternate 66 North. (this is Dime Road).

Office/Home is approximately 3 miles out Dime Road...you will see a red brick church on your left, start watching for a closed up gas station on your right. Our home/office is across from the station. Sign in front of house says CousinsCompany.Com.

If coming from Pittsburgh/Monroeville area...best way is from Route 22, to 286, to 380..toward Apollo. 380 exit to Apollo/Vandergrift will bring you onto Rt. 66.
Go north on 66 (to the right) and then follow the directions above.

If coming from Route 28, north of us...Ford City exit off of 28, follow 66 South toward Leechburg/Apollo.
Follow RT 66 south approx 9-10 miles, you will pass Garda's restaurant, a closed up water slide, Crooked Creek Market and Myrt's café, and you will see Alternate 66 turn to the left. We are 4 miles from the turn off.
Slow down just past a small business PC fix-computer repair...which is on the right, we are the next house that you can see from the road.

Office/Home is approximately 3 miles out Dime Road...you will see a red brick church on your left, start watching for a closed up gas station on your right. Our home/office is across from Happy Campers convenience store.  Sign in front of house says CousinsCompany.Com.

It is a BIG gray house, parking area just past the house on front side for the office. The party will up on the hill past our barn, (yes, it is a very long, dirt driveway). The road up the hill is just before our house, so you can either make a very sharp turn up the hill, or drive just past the house, turn around in the lot across the road, and come back around and up the hill.

You don't need to have 4 wheel drive, but the road is rough...low sitting cars may bump bottom. Take the drive slowly and watch for the high spots. If you would prefer not to drive up the hill, you can park at the house, and call my cell. Someone will be glad to come down and pick you up.

ANY MORE INFO NEEDED, PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL 724-316-1944. If you get voicemail, please leave a number...it's going to be a busy week~

Mistress Charlotte

Just reconfirming about tomorrow.  rick and I are bringing a pasta/salami salad.

See you tomorrow!
Cause, "Cake or death?" That's a pretty easy question.
Anyone could answer that.
"Cake or death?"
"Eh, cake please."

Weather is looking pretty rough tomorrow-hope rain isn't as bad as they are calling for. Make sure to bundle up in something rain proof! I considered cancelling when I saw the weather, but we didn't want to disappoint anyone, and weren't sure how to get in touch with everyone either. So-the party will go on....

The road may be a bit slippery, between the rain and the leaves....front wheel and all wheel drive should be okay. If road seems to rough, you can park down near the barn, and we will pick you up..so keep the cell number handy. 724-316-1944 or Bill's cell 724-681-7140.

Doesn't look like a big crowd yet, unless there are people that we haven't heard back from....but looking forward to seeing those of you who can make it!
