Storage question: what do you do with your mockups?

I'm working on a re-org of my sewing space, and as I'm tidying up my current projects, I'm finding myself wondering what to do with my mockups.

A lot of them end up as the linings or interlinings of their own garb, and others are large enough to be re-used... but I currently have some partial boned bodices and things that I'm not sure what to do with.

I've managed to clear out a bin/tub by converting my fabric stash from flat-folds to rolls, so at the moment I'm thinking I might toss them all in there together.

Other ideas?

I always end up using mock-up material for either the original project or other projects... So I'm not the right person to ask.  ;D

If you need them for future projects, I would label them well and store them together. Next time you're to start a project, you can dive into your "mock-up bin" and find something that'll kick-start the making of your new costume.

It's the same with me.  My mock ups tend to get incorporated into the finished project.

With my fabric patterns that I use, I label them and what year I made them and stash them into the sewing bench I use that has storage hidden under the seat.

Mock ups?!?!  I'm supposed to make mock ups!?!?!  Dang.  Just kidding!  Although the only mock ups I HAVE made were for my nobility gowns (the rest can take the tweaking on the actual piece since the fabric isn't expensive), and I keep them in my pattern binder.  I have a few large 3 ring binders (think work binder) that I have clear pocket inserts in.  I can keep the pattern pieces (and envelope if it's a big 3 pattern) in it, along with print outs of web instructions, tips and images...and they all stay together.  Pretty handy actually...can't believe it took me until ren-garbing to come up with the idea (or steal it, can't remember now).  But back to the original question, my muslin mock-ups fold up and slide into the clear pocket.
I'm not fat, it's just that a skinny body couldn't hold ALL THIS PERSONALITY! ;)

Once I have them taken apart to make my pattern from I label them and place them with my pattern into a Ziplock and lable the outside of it with the date and speciifc peice.
Then let's say 2 years down the road if I need a similar outfit, I will take it out and drape it again on me and see if I have changed any make any modifications and well make my pattern from
said piece.  It is so way better for me to have them and work from already draped to see if I do need in fact to remake the entire toile or if I don't need to.  I use a file folder drawers to store these by person and then by piece and year.

I know too organized? Right now I am redoing my sewing room, I am trying to get things as organized as I can get, I wish I was like this with housework!

When it comes to Bodice mockups for my clients, I keep them in a  folder with their names and measurements inside for future use for other projects they have in mind for me.

For myself, again, a  folder with the name of the project on it.

I reuse as much of the larger bits as possible.  Bits that cannot be re-used get chucked.  I don't usually keep toiles or patterns for one-off wedding gowns and the like.  They are customer specific and won't be needed again.

Experiments with processes get kept and labeled for future reference if I need to.  Plastic tub in the loft for those.
