Can anyone recommend a cheap hotel that is close mi ren fest?

We have "made the rounds" when it comes to hotels in the Holly area!  Sleep Inn & Comfort Inn at I-75 and I-69 are about $85 per night, clean rooms, 10 minutes from faire.  Holiday Inn Express in Grand Blanc, Holiday Inn & Express in Flint, and Marriot Courtyard in Flint are all nice and clean, for about $90.  Crowne Plaza in Auburn Hills is nice, a little further from faire, about $90. I DO NOT recommend Motel 6 or Red Roof in Flint, they are cheap, but disgusting and dirty.  THE WORST is the Rodeway Inn and Days Inn on Bristol Rd.  Dirty stinky rooms.  Like I said, we have made the rounds!  We have been making this trip every weekend for 12 years (we have no local renaissance faire.)

I will stay nowplace other that the Hyatt in Auburn Hills, on Opdyke Road.  it is a little pricier at $104, but that gets you a VERY nice room with either a king or two double beds, a wet bar with mini fridge and sink, a sitting area with an L shaped sectional and a 46 inch flat screen. 20 minutes to the faire, continental breakfast is great.  Look at the website

The Faire package includes 2 ticket to the Faire
Always on the lookout for my next noble cause.

And because a flail don't need reloading, that's why.

That place sounds great !!  Thank you so much for the info.  I have a royal pass so I don't need the tickets but I am sure I could find someone to give them to. thanks again!

... that sounds like a perfect set-up for post-faire gathering of drunken Guitar Hero/Rock Band.   :o
What's a Grecian Urn?  Are we talking union, or non-union?

Holiday Inn Express in Grand Blanc I found was best. it's right off of I-75 so right when you get up, head back south to Dixie Highway get off and onto that, head south and on yer right is the entrance to faire, couldn't be better. And at $99.00 buck a night, it better be that close. I'd say 10min drive at the most.

Just made my reservations for this weekend at holiday inn express in grand blan.  Thanks so much !!
