Beware of him that is slow to anger: He is angry for something, and will not be pleased for nothing.

Love it
I seriously hope the med student doesnt get any kind of charges brought against him.
I guess it depends on the laws in that state, I dont know if maryland has the castle law.

I'm of the opinion that "authorities" are going to get tired of the citizens defending themselves. What's next? Freedom of speech? pffft

I grabbed my sword once when I went to investigate some thuggish looking characters hanging out in front of our old place. I don't think I'd actually be able to kill anyone with it, as it's not "combat ready," but it is pretty sharp and could probably maim someone. But I do like the idea of scaring them off with it. :)
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

I don't believe I need any documentation to let me know I can defend myself.  I just hope that student doesn't suffer any ill repercussions for exercising the law of natural selection.
I hope my life is an epic tale that ends well and everyone likes to read. --Grovdin Dokk

Does this make him King of the Lab???

To me what he did doesn't seem odd in the way the reporter is trying to make it out to be, but I guess to any of us here it wouldn't.
I have a 12" WWII bayonet on my bedside table, amongst other well sharpened blades throughout the house.
Once I get my Glock, it will also stay by the bed.

I really think that its a basic human instinct to protect one's self, property and loved ones. I don't understand this mentality where the perp has more rights and protections than the people he is committing a crime against.

From the article it seems like the kid didn't purposely kill the robber, he managed to cut his hand off and I would assume he died from blood loss.  It doesnt say anything about chest wounds.
