I would but i have these two big dorks and they aren't real friendly.

How do you fit two Great Danes on to one small love seat?  Not comfortably

You Know every dane I've been around think there are little lap dogs. lol

We have a shepherd/collie mix who needs a playmate.  Our yard isnt HUGE, but it is a good size.  However, bc of faire we travel for a 6 or 8 weekend only stretch 2-3 times a year.  With a mate here, do you think he would do alright?  Also, how is he with children?  We have a 10 and 5 year old, as well as a new baby in the family (brother's wife just had her first).

Thanks for your answers!

Hey Lishy,

As bad as I want to find a good home for him, I'd be concerned by the combination of his size, energy level and small children.  I doubt he has been around children much, I'd not expect an attack, I don't think he has a mean bone in his body but he is very exuberant in play and I'd really be worried about children and roughhousing.   He has given both my wife and I a few good bruises during play sessions.

I ran across your forum searching for a hybrid.... Funny cause I am a former SCA member, and still attend as many fairs as permits. Anyway, have you found him a home yet? If not I offer the love and affection of a 14 year old boy, and 44 year old father, my girlfriend will learn to love..... We live in West Tennessee on 30 acres, but it joins my families land consisting of apple orchards and two lakes.. and a HUGE close nit Irish family. we hail from County Cork, O'Brien Family.
My sons B-day is next week on the 22nd... I will be in Texas this Monday delivering some Forklift batteries.
I can be reached at segars_trans@yahoo.com, and your welcome to check me out at facebook... Lee Segars, or on myspace... http://www.myspace.com/lee_segars to see if you feel he would like us, and you feel safe he's be in a good home.
Thanks for your time
