Hi All!  it's been a while since I've been on line here, and glad to see many I remember.  My wife and I stayed with the great group from Louisiana year before last and had a blast.  What I still recall were the problem teens/ravers causing frat party havoc a few years ago which really colored our camping exp.

My question is this:  has it improved with extra security and the increased camping fee?  I know it is too early to tell today, but was curious if there have been any changes for the better.

Thanks, and looking forward to coming out with a small clan Nov 7th for the weekend.

Well from what happend last year there is zero tolerance for ravers. I have been told this by both security guards out at camp last year. They were kicking people out of camp for that crap. They can tell who is there for faire.

It's gotten better than '07, that's for sure. I anticipate the day that those raver kids decide the campground at faire is not the place to wreak havoc and throw kegs into bonfires... -_-
Something I noticed last year was that the closer you were to the main fire, the more raver kids I saw. So I spent most of last season over by row 0. Naught a raver kid bothered us...
... except for one kid that stumbled across our camp at five in the morning rambling about wanting to smoke a resin joint for about ten minutes before walking off into the woods... O_o
Oh... Shiny!

That is excellent news, thanks!  I like fun n frolic, loki n scotch, baudy women and my kilt, (well, my baudy wife in my kilt) ;-)  Just not into the tween-aged-rave/frat/I'm sneekin out this weekend to the faire to get trashed kinda mess we've seen at the pit, beer kegs-a-blazin, etc.

Nothing against rave music, fyi.

Peace

Electronic music is at the top of my list. Back in the hayday I used to rave quite alot. I still go every so often. But all the kiddies think I'm a undercover cop. lol

But I know the time and place for it.

I'm curious about the little taco hut beside the fire pit and the kissing booth booth by the Quickie Mart - WTF?

The taco hut was there last year and is run by the Golden Conquistador that participates inside faire. HIS FOOD IS GOOD and priced very nice. Not sure about the kissing booth. Run by a group called camp panda?

SolRac, thanks for clearing that up.  Its non G ran, so I will spend money there!   ;D

Hmm...Kissing hut, taco booth...I did know of none of these things...Thought I knew of the Golden Conquistador...who doesn't know him. I guess I shall have to break out the hot sauce and the industrial strength chapstick....hopefully for both occasions.

FYI, the taco stand has IMPECCABLY GOOD jalapeno hot sauce. Very fresh and VERY flavorful. Give it a go! It's great on breakfast tacos.
