we need sisal rope sufficiently strong to be used in the swings (single person swings) throughout the woods of sherwood.

likewise, we are seeking some monkey climbing eagle scout rope tying type to shimmy up the woods and tie our swings from the trees.

ok, ok...you can use ladders, if need be.

Well, 40 years ago, in the dawn of mankind, I was instructed in the Navy way of rope tying. I've given a few lessons at TRF and would gladly pass on the knowledge at Sherwood.

I know this was posted a couple weeks ago, but if you are still in need of some help I think I can do the job for you. I live in Austin so it's not too bad a drive to get out there some weekend. I used to rock climb all the time and was a professional guide for a while, not to mention I have a fair bit of blue water sailing experience, and I was in scouts and did high angle rescue work blah blah, basically if there is one thing I am qualified for, its probably tying stuff to other stuff in one fashion or another. Let me know if you are still looking for help.

I don't know anything about buying ropes other than climbing ropes, send me a PM so we can talk about what you have in mind and I can come up with a good way to make it happen.
