Now that the holidays are over, and I have moved into an apt in Louisiana.  I need a kick in the rear to sew the projects I have to make the money I need to stay in the apt, or till I find a job.  Does anyone know of any costume jobs or anyone needing a Queen?

So here is my list, of what I know I have to make.  Many items are in progress or have been cut out.
A sage green silk tudor gown
A dusty pink silk kirtle to go with sage green gown
Finish the blue tudor that was a commission, but now is not
Finish a maroon and gold bodice
And a few more things that I can't remember

Thanks for the help

Drag out the left over fabrics from these projects.  Make some really easy but nice bags.  Sell on Etsy...

Do same with hats, French Hoods, wench style bodices in standard sizes...  Try doing some kid's sizes!

Sell off excess garb, especially stuff that is a bit noble and has seen a few outings to fair, and is still too good to recycle/cut up for something else...

Tighten belt... ;)

Syrilla

Thanks Kate, that is a good idea.  I will add the inbetween the larger items, as a break.  Now, somehow, I just have to make myself start the whole mess.  :D

Syrilla

Almost one bodice done.  Just need the hand work on the lining.

Thanks for the personal kicks.  Please keep them coming!  I Must sew!

Syrilla...Just the idea of pieces of fabric hanging about that are in such desperate need of your most artistic and fabulous styling should be enough impetus for you!  They're all just suffering in silence wanting to see the light of day and to be properly modeled upon whichever person is incredibly lucky enough to be donning one of your creations!  There!  Now get to work, dear!

I've seen your marvelous creations.  Please be sure to post them here on the forums if you are selling any of them.  I bet they'd go in a flash.  I haven't seen anything of yours that isn't incredibly beautiful and so well made.  Thanks!

You always have a way to cheer someone up.  :D

Lady Renee Buchanan

I'm glad it cheered you up, Syrilla, but it's also the truth.  I have seen your garb with my own eyes, and it truly is beautiful.  Anybody would be ecstatic to wear it.  I want to drool over it when you post it.  Not sure how the pocketbook is to purchase more garb, but I am looking forward to seeing it.

I know you can do it Syrilla. You're a total inspiration for me and the whole reason why I started making noble gowns. You rock and like Lady Buchanan said, if you sold any of the items they would go in a heartbeat. You are so talented. :)

Started working on a rose/ and deeper rose brocade gown.

I'm still trying to sort out the mess that used to be my sewing space and cutting area...  Procrastination is my besetting sin!  I have jobs lining up...

Blue Tudor...Sage and Dusty pink...Rose brocade... all sounds lovely. Like staring in the window of a confectioners.  :)

Syrilla I can't wait to see your beautiful gowns when done.

LadyShadow

I have yet to see one of your gowns.  But the way everyone is talking, I am really eager to see them.  Please share pics when you are done.
May the stars always shine upon you and yours.

Here you go Kate XXXXXXX, a kick for you.  I guessed while I'm kicking myself, I might as well share.  :D

Thank you everyone for the lovely compliments.  Once I find a camera (mine was lost at faire) i will take pictures.

Thanks, love.  I have new, very sad kick to apply this end, too.  BOTH Alan's suits were dilled to bits by moths.  We have a funeral to go to on the 21st...  It's a bugger, it really is.  Starting this evening, I'm gonna be busy...
