What would be the best source for a paint that resembles woad? I'd prefer to avoid acrylic paint, since I've heard it causes skin reactions. Is maybe some kind of makeup from Ben Nye good? What would stay on the best and longest, in regards to moisture from sweat? Also, what is the best option is the best way to not spend a fortune on it? Thanks.

Ben Nye is the better bet. Professional Film/Stage makeup that is sold in Costume Shops that are registered dealers.

I use Ben Nye for when I do my Vampire persona as well as for other characters I happen to play. I can wear Ben Nye all day and it does not feel like I have makeup on. Easy enough to take off with a skin cleanser.

Many costume shops sell theatrical make-up.  Most big cities I've been to have at least one.  I've bought several Ben Nye products at costume shops, that way you don't have to pay shipping/handling just for the actual product.  I believe it wasn't too much more expensive as normal make-up.  But I would definitely start theatrical make-up shopping at local stores to cut costs.
