Hey all, I'm trying to find 2 types of hats.  One of the classic pointed green 'Robin Hood' hat.  I'd like one made of leather or some other strong, durable material.

The other type, I'm not sure how historically accurate it would be, but I'd like one anyways.  A hat in the style of Red Mages from the Final Fantasy video games.  Here are some pics if you're unfamiliar with the games:

Any suggestions where to purchase these, gimme a link!

The hats you linked to look like Caviler hats. I don't know if they are period in the Renaissance, but they're not far off if their not.

and the first hat you described, I made myself one from gray cotton last year, if you want to try making one, I could try and explain how I drafted the pattern.

Saw these from the Tall Toad when I was at MNRF: http://www.talltoad.net/robin.html

I personally got my Robin Hood hat from a vendor at Scarborough (Lionheart, I think), but mine is a rather soft material and tends to wilt a bit when damp.

I know Excalibur Leather carries both types of hat.  I haven't dealt with them personally myself, but I believe they've been spoken highly of here.

I have a Robin Hood hat from Lionheart Hats, too--I bought it to go with a medieval hunting dress.  But, alas, it looks *awful* on me and I never wear it (and I look OK in pretty much any headwear.  Sigh.).

I'll second Excalibur for the cavalier hat.  My evil twin's pirate hat came from there and I'm very happy with it.  The cavalier hats look to be at least as good quality.  Renboots also has similar hats.

The Excalibur Leather looks perfect for the Robin Hood hat.  Their cavalier hats are a little out of my pricerange at the moment, I think 2 pieces of headgear is enough to buy from my tax refund (the other being a helm for SCA combat)
