LadyShadow, I get my trim at a few different stores: Joanne's, Hancock's, Best Fabric, and High Fahion.  All the normal fabric stores have these types of trims separate from their trim section over in their upholstery section.

Wish I would have known that yesterday before I went to JoAnns.  Oh well.  Next trip.  Thanks Elizabeth for the heads up.  I shouldnt have a problem now thanks to your tip.

Jacqueline...your trim is absolutely perfect for your dress.  Good call!  Pipere...I'm speechless.  That's an amazing outfit.  I admire you tackling such a project because I imagine there isn't as much info out there on making an Ottoman ensemble as there is for making a Tudor/Elizabeth/Venetian dress.

Beautiful dresses, Jacqueline, and Pipere, your outfit is really neat! Great job.

I recently made this dress. I used a pattern that had princess seams but put the pattern pieces together and cut it out differently to avoid them. It's the first time I've done that, so hindsight I'd have changed other things, but it turned out okay.





I'm mildly addicted to editing pictures, especially the lighting  *whistles innocently*

I finally finished that pirate outfit I've been working on. Now comes the scary part I have no control over, hoping someone likes it enough to buy it. I posted the ads yesterday. Wish me luck.
