You take a trip to the dolar tree and walk out sword fighting your husbend with foam swords!!! I had to have them!! It was really fun!

Guilty!  We did the same thing at Garden Ridge a couple of years ago.  We used the foam swords for Z-Krewe's pirate-themed party at Galveston Mardi Gras too - the real ones would've been seriously frowned upon.

Also had much the same reaction as jinx when we were house shopping.  Walked into one room in the house we ended up buying and said, "Here's the garb closet!"  That room is becoming our office/war room and will have swords adorning the walls soon!

Thursday night, Lawrence and I went to the Oilfield Cookoff, which is a charity cookoff associated with the Offshore Technology Conference here in Houston (basically nothing faire-related about it).  We got into one booth in the middle of the evening, and the next thing I knew, someone was yelling "Var!!".  Turned out Blue and Greenman and a couple of other rennies were involved with that booth.  Just more proof that rennies are everyewhere!

Which brings to mind another one;

...you go on a quest at the cookoff to get a Viking helmet that one of the booths is giving away because it's the coolest swag out there.

(I got mine last year when we got passes to the Viking booth, so this year was Blue's quest.  Huzzah!!  Knew you'd get one eventually!)

 I this happen to me the other day.. was at a furniture store,saw a sign that said they sell the upolstery fabric by the yard...
And of course, I thought what gown of bodice I could make with it! LOL!
