I wore this outfit to GARF on April 19:

I made the hat, shirt, bodice, gorget, skirt, 1 1/2 of two pouches (you can only see one in this picture, though), and the bracers (which used to be leather glasses cases).

Here's my younger sister in the skirt and bodice I made her, borrowing one of the shirts I made:

(That was the first bodice I made so it didn't turn out especially well.)

Nice work though.  It takes practice to get things to come out real good.  ;)

I still have to read directions on occasions, and I have been sewing off and on for 30 yrs.

Dragon Wing, You look nice, there is a lot of detail in your garb, good job.  Using eyeglass cases for bracers is very clever!

This was a fun project - more painting than sewing.  Getting back to my roots I guess. I designed the garb for him but am only making the tunic. This is for a fawn who is a grown man with a full blond/red beard and hair to his shoulders. He is padding out his legs with foam under cotton tights and creating the "hock" shape on the top portion of his calf also with foam.  He will then wear breaches and it should look like his natural muscularcur.  The lower leg will be furry and achieved with gators or half caps for your equestrians, that have been adapted to make it look like he has a very short foot and there by make his feet look more like hooves.  I am anxious to see the end result next weekend at dress rehearsal. http://picasaweb.google.com/MythrinFarm/FawnTunic#

I finished this for my daughter over the weekend. It doesn't reach the quality or complexity of other work I saw here but she's happy and that is fine with me. I made two skirts, the chemise and the waist cincher.

Sorry for the quality of the pictures. I'll try and take some better ones next weekend.

It looks like a very pretty outfit from what I can see. :)

Some really imaginative and pretty things going on here.  And for those currently less skilled or newer to the garb game, remember: it isn't a competition!  We appreciate every stitch, and are happy help when we are asked. :)

I made everything both of us are wearing in this photo, except the mugs and belts (and in her case the footwear).

The boots I'm wearing I made custom from some tooling leather for the soles and suede for the rest, they lasted a few weekends before I broke one of the wooden toggles that held the laces tight, and since that happened on a Saturday morning and I needed something to wear the rest of the weekend I bought a nice pair of boots from Excalibur Leather and have worn those since.

These next two show the mug and hat I upgraded to during the run last year, purchased, not self-made..
(I did make the leather mug frog you can see better here though.. :) )

Very  nice work.  I am about to try my hand at a similar hat and doublet.  I hope mine turn out well just as yours did.
May the stars always shine upon you and yours.
