I'm in good shape...tried to go to work about 4:30am...got just outside the gates and turned around and went back inside...couldn't see the sidewalks for the water.

these were taken about 7ish this morning

Since I'm on the south-side, I was fine this morning.  We had a swamp in our backyard but no flooding in the area.

However, in the flooding a week ago, I got 2 inches of water in my new corolla when we got caught in the flooding in the League City area.  Thankfully my car didn't stall and has finally dried out! :P
Got faerie dust?

Hi, Blue!  All's well here.  We had quite a bit of street flooding overnight - about 1/2 way up the car tires and over the curb, but it was almost gone by about 7 am when I took my Pom out for a walk.  How about you? Dry?

I'm dry and at work, had to fight the evil beltway closures this morning. I-10 and BW8 were underwater on the feeder roads, like, at least 16 feet of water. The damn intersection completely submerges every single time we get water. WHY IN HELL DID THEY BUILD IT THAT LOW?????

Extra drainage in high rain situations?
BTW Other than a shortage of buses, I had no trouble getting to work this morning. Being inside the loop has certain advantages.

The lake that connected my yard to the neighbors across the street went down before the sun came up.  But I'm lucky that I don't live in a high flood area anymore.
May the stars always shine upon you and yours.

All is well here.... for now.  Water was high coming down 249 from Magnolia into North Houston.  Spring Creek is high.  More heavy storms in the forecast for our area today >:(.  Hopefully I won't be sleeping at my desk this evening!  ::)

Yeah, like being the first to drown when Buffalo or White Oak Bayou decide that they want to RISE!!

Gulb Gulb!
I'm fine here...no flodding at the house when I left at 6am.  Took forever to get to work...drove through the flooding at West Rd. and 290, though I probably shouldn't have...small cars were already flooded out.  Waited 30 minutes for a bus at the P&R, then decided to drive in.  Picked up riders (turns out 3 co-workers) and headed down the HOV.  No problems.

I have a feeling people may start heading home earlier today, but I'm going to get in touch with the people who rode in with me and see when they are available.  I needs 'dem bodies to ride in the HOV...they frown on that blow-up doll.

My whole street got flooded up to the middle of our drive way LAST week and destroyed the engine in my mini... had to have it replaced.  However, it's completely dry in my neighborhood this morning and though it rained last night, it didn't flood at all!!

We are dry.  I had a hard time getting home last night. I went through water that was almost too high for my truck. Woke up early and watched the news, called and woke the boss at 5:45 and told him I wasn't coming and some one else would have to open and call of work.
Don't forget to smell the roses, but watch out for the thorns!
