My pardon if this has been asked and answered elsewhere - we are planning the weekend of Thanksgiving (all 3 days).  What are the crowds like?

Depends a lot on the weather. If it's pleasant weather there will likely be big crowds, many of them bargain-hunters and people who bought tickets and know it's their last chance to use them. If it's craptastic weather like '07 was (cold, wet, windy, muddy, and just plain nasty), the crowds will be a lot thinner, and most of them will be the die-hard rennies and renthusiasts.

I have been there for the crappy weather too. Not crowded- but still fun if you dress for it!

Fortunately for me, I have the following plans:

1.  I am not driving anywhere at all, at least, not in a vehicle.

2.  I truly should have been born in the Renaissance.  I don't need street maps...  a clear view of the sky is all I need.  Scratch that... it's a plus.  A clear view of the closest pub is all I need.

3.  I've been living in Florida long enough now to understand the mindset of blue haired ladies and white haired men.  I've discovered that the most dangerous drivers of the lot are old men in hats, usually driving an Oldsmobuick.

4.  As a Titans fan, I hold Houston in a bit of contempt... after all, they had the Oilers there and they won every away game and lost every home game their final season there.  The locals didn't support them.  I have no desire to site-see.

5.  Finally, I shall be in the company of such fine Rennies, why would I want to go anywhere but Faire?

What "craptastic" weather? It was very period and if you dress like they did year 'round, you welcome the freezing rain and gail force winds... ;D
Does anyone else hear a ticking sound..?

It wasn't carptastic weather, it was fine Scottish weather. It was great.

I can't wait to be in again for Halloween Weekend and see you guys again! One I recoup from my trip to SC in a couple weeks, We are buying the tickets!

I to have been there for a few of the horrible weather weekends, but you know I had some pretty good times holed up with campers and riding it out!

When I checked last week, the TRF website online ticket purchasing didn't list weekend tickets. If I remember correctly from last year, the weekend tickets were only listed on the mailings (which should be out soon). There are a great deal if you will be at TRF both days. If I remember, it was about $30 for the pair, whereas two separate tickets came out to about $40.

I sure wish they offered FOF like Scarby.

I like that All Hallows Eve got moved back a weekend...makes perfect for me to be there Opening, All Hallows, and Closing.  ;)
i may ask if i can tag along one of those weekends.
What does the color blue taste like?

Lady Laura

I just looked on the TRF website at the Themed Weekends page and the dates from 2008, which had All Hallow's on the 24-25th.  Can someone verify that they know for sure the dates for All Hallow's weekend?

I know for sure that I will be there opening Sunday....I know there will be some other days in there somewhere, just not sure which ones yet. My little pirate will be one year old on opening Sunday, so starts the TRF birthday tradition  ;D
