I am looking to work the festival this year, at a booth or something. I LOVE the festival and I've wanted to work it for the past 3 years, and this year I finally can work it out with my Week job. I've sent in an application, but Havent heard back yet. Anyone have any tips for me? or How long it takes to hear back? Greatly appreciate it :)

Prepare to wait until about the last weekend of May at the latest.  Sometimes it takes them a while to get back to you.  My first year working there I didn't get hired until the Monday before Festival.  It gets crazy sometimes!

As of Thursday, when I was last on site, there was only one flyer posted on the bulliten board.  As we all know, it's usually overflowing with 'help wanted' ads, so give it time.

I'll post here more next week if I see more notices posted on the board.

I got my letter today to go in for an interview! What can I expect? Should I be going in my costume?
Pirate Ash

Zoë

It's really not an interview, it's just a general orientation kind of thing after which the PTB will let you know (hopefully) where you are working.  You don't have do go in costume, but you're welcome to.

Think of it as an interview where you bring lots of sandwiches. I like mustard and mayo... oh, and it wouldn't hurt to bring some potato salad and ice water. And a napkin. Right now I'm eating a corn chip.

So you're saying I should probably bring sandwhiches with mayo & mustard? And Corn chips? And a Napkin, and potato Salad......

...and some mineral water... and some cheese- just enough for everyone- and a hat... and a boat for Zoe and her rum
