Who is excited?

I know it is only June but... who is aching for faire to be here already???

Preaching to the choir, friend; Faire is my yearly de-stressor.

I know I am! :D:D What are you most excited about and what traditions do you look forward to all year?

I'm most excited about... all of it.  Ditching - for but a weekend - my nine-to-five, cubicle-dwelling existence in favor of something so much better it can't be measured. Setting up the site, starting the fire, and finally, sitting next to it...

...smelling the campfire, feeling its warmth, tasting the bourbon and soda, and hearing the murmur of revelry.

Traditions?  Most of our friends are non-Rennies, so not much here.  For us, "tradition" consists of teaching them how to use the gadgets we bring 

Including locking the tent-privy, or bringing a camera.

I am actually going to try to get out to patrons this year, but considering I know virtually no one out there these days, it may be the usual short run (wander out to bonfire, see catastrophically-inebriated man carrying half empty keg towards fire, rapidly fall back to the smithy while I still have plausible deniability)

I can't wait cause this will be the first year for my soon to be new little one. He is on his way and I am already working on outfits for him and I have a pair of ears on the way for him little black ones all i need to do is get him is tail ready and he will be go for fair.
Jacob and I will be there every weekend working and I will have the little one out there a few times so everyone can meet him.

I'll have lots of experienced folks all around me, though, and I'll be asking all of them for advice on what not to miss!  Met so many of you from here at Scarby, and I get to camp with such awesome folks, also, that it will be just like being at home, only sooooo much more fun!!!  LOL

 4 MONTHS!  DAMN!  I thought maybe that when i woke up this morning, that it was October already.  *sigh*

I usually start getting the itch around April... and it just gets worse from there.  Hallow's Eve should turn out WILD this year

I have mixed feelings now. I will (pending passing a physical in July) be back in LE with the sheriff's dept. (and thus have precisely zero say in scheduling), and have already been forewarned I may not have weekends off...
