A happy update:  Milord went to two Home Depots today, searching for my old Malco brand cable ties, and he found them!!  Huzzah!  I didn't know he'd actually found them, or I'd have told him to stock up... but at least we have one new package!

It is strange because it seems like Home Depot changes what they carry willy nilly.  Sometimes they have the right cable ties and other times they don't... even at the same Home Depot. Consistency would be nice.

It's almost like they're not aware of people using them as costume boning!  :D  ;)

I know I'm bumping this topic, but have any of ya'll considered buying online? I'm looking to start a new bodice once things calm down a little here at school and I was looking online for cable ties and found this
http://www.buycableties.com/catalog/8/heavy_duty_cable_ties
is $15 for 50 250lb tensile strength cables a good deal (of course not taking into account shipping...)
