News from Meow Manor

I am making headway. My problem now is where??? to put ALL the vintage clothing I had stored in the 10 foot long closet. 1920's fur coats, Linen auto dusters, velvet gowns from the 1930's! even a red ryder vintage BB gun- probably from the 1940's? Hats, shoes, purses, gloves, neckties-  I am bogged down today- but will go at it again tomorrow. I called some vintage clothing dealers- but all are busy or broke! LOL! My back is broke! Ouch!

OOOH Sorry I missed your B. day Cat. Too much going on here!  We can celebrate our un birthdays when I come for TRF.
Kitties are upset at the mess and moving their stuff! This is their house- not mine!
Tachi is still hanging in there! Yoshi is helping me. Sabu is under the bed snarling and Chingy is cute! Batman is catching lizards!
I LIKE lizards. Sigh.

I can appreciate the problem. I am finding out that there are a few difficulties to being a Generalist Extraordinaire! I may know a lot about a lot, I may be able to do a lot about a lot, but I am also finding out that that means having a lot of stuff about a lot!......................and I don't have a lot to put it in.

My big storage taker is information in general which means books, pictures, notes, tapes, disks. There are books from my fav evil, 1/2 Price, that are waiting for spots on the shelves that are triple and quadrupled stacked. Shelves that run from the floor to the ceiling. Pictures waiting to be scanned into the computer (and posted to the net) and boxes of DLSR pictures waiting to be put into albums. 20+ years of tape waiting to be transferred to disk....and it won't stop there for then it needs to be catelogued. As I am typing this, I am transferring files between hard drives which were pulled out of a crashing computer that needs to be reconfigured........but eventually, those files need to be sorted to some degree. I can spend days at the keyboard, accomplishing something in the worlds of electrons, but in the end, what do I have to show for it? What forgotten country have I rediscovered with new expanded boundaries?

And, of course, there are always new prizes from the hunt coming in!

I'm unsure how the EgypKits take this opening up of space here and there. I would often say, "It's one big kitten playground!".....but I think they like the open hallways now (accomplished by stacking the boxes even higher in a few rooms). It might remind them of the time when they really were kittens when they would chase each other from the den, turn 90 to go down the small hallway, turn 90 again to leap up and run across the top of the sofa (after slamming into the fish tank (since deactivated)), turn 90 to run down the space where the ballet barre/mirror is, then turn the final 90 to go thru the kitchen..............and back again. And if the lead one didn't make the 90 to the sofa but went into the bedroom and hid, the chaser might miss that crucial point.

Just remember, though: dogs watch us come home from the supermarket or the mall and must think we are the greatest hunters who ever lived!

 We had a mini pool party here at Meow Manor! fun day!  Eloquent and Element of Air were here!  I made Wizard fries and Magick burgers. Enjoyed a bit of girl talk and visiting! The Royal felines enjoyed the company too!
Fun day! I needed this!  Good to get away from my problems for a few hours with fairmily!

I doubt I can escape! We are hauling 4 days a week and working around the farm the rest... Goint to John's for the 4th... he has a pool! He and Jan are old friends! Will be a blast!

 I sold a staff today! Huzzah and also found some new recruits for FOKTOP! Huzzah and kill the peeps!
Still hot here. It looks like fall with so many leaves off the trees. my roses are dieing. I will find out what the toughest ones are- if any live!

I guess I will watch fireworks from the pool!

 Fireworks exploded in the sky right behind my pool. I watched from my screened porch. It was way too buggy in the pool. The Royal Felines did not understand the BOOMS- but liked the pretty colors!
  Glad the 4th is over.
I have so many memories of that time- 1776! Lord A and I met fighting the Revolutionary War. Long story- wizards and time travel etc!
