Does anyone know some merchant that makes mugs in child size?  I'd like to look into one for my not so little three year old.  He terrified me drinking out of a coke can last sunday (trying to stick his tongue in and all!).  He got his belt and so forth that day as well, so basically he needs a mug that won't be huge for him.  Also needs to be durable for a rough and tumble little boy.  Also should I look for a more childsized mugfrog? His belt is relatively narrow, about an inch I think. 

I'm also looking for childsize nearly anything as far as nonsewable accessories.  Any help will be deeply appreciated.

I've noticed several times at Goodwill smaller versions of pewter tankards.  They are called christening cups.  My younger son got one from his godparents when he was christened.  He's almost 25 now, but they still make them.  Try googling "christening cup" and see what you pull up.  You can also try the aforementioned Goodwill, thrift shops, or antique shops.

You could also order a tin cup (go with stainless steel) for Civil War reenacting.  Not exactly H/A but VERY lightweight and durable.  The more he scratches and beats on it the better it will look!

Ok, more important question ... where did he get the POUCH?!

I can't remember the name of the shop.  It is at MNRF and I think it is between my pub and Groomporter's shop.  He bought that a few years ago.  Mayhap someone here will know the shop I am talking about, they also make those leather mugs that taper at the top and bracers.  I *think* they might make helms as well.  I keep thinking it might be Excalibur, but cannot find this style on their site.

I feel the need to put in a plug for the shop I hawk for.  Actually I felt these were the best I have seen at festival and have felt so long before I started hawking for them. The above is an ebay listing for a silver plated tankard that holds 4 oz.  The seller is from another board that I am a member of.  I purchased some of her other items, and she is very nice to work with.  My items are in NJ, and I am going there next weekend for a wedding, so we arranged for me to pick them up.  She is very accommodating in her business dealings.  If you can't find it with the link above, her Ebay seller name is Wench230.

The tiniest tankard on the fairegrounds... perfect for a shot of mead!  Who could resist filling this for you when you pull it off your belt and hold it out and smile so brightly?

This wee tiny tankard is actually a baby cup, which holds 4 ounces.  Stamped on bottom with "Dansk International Designs LTD, MM / JS / China."

Measurements:

Height:  2.75"
Top:  2.25" across
Capacity:  4 ounces

Gently used, has some slight marks from normal wear on body of tankard and on base.  Has a few tarnish spots on the inside; just needs a wipe with some silver cleaner.

Stored in a smoke-free, but not pet-free, home; you may get a bonus cat hair or two with your tankard.

I'll suggest Wonderous Works in Wood (where I got my tankard).  They have ones that will easily hold 20+ ounces and they hold up well.  If they do break, they will fix them for you.  These wood mugs can also handle cold or hot liquids.

Knarly Knot also does wonderful woodwork - I just don't recall how big thiers are.

Here's R/F forum member Knarly Knot at her TRF shoppe.  This was taken towards the end of faire last year and their inventory was running a bit low.  They make some really nice mugs, tankards and other vessels of various sizes.  http://www.theknarlyknot.net/

Thanks for all the help! I can't believe tha amount of feedback I get here, it's great!  I'm watching my goodwill and such here with plans to hit the flea market sunday. I also know someone who works at a goodwill in another town nearby.
