Stopping by to say hello! It seems like TRF 2007 was so so so long ago. Would love to get away from MN to come visit TX for some time! I'll be thinking good things for you in hopes that better times come for you fast!!!!

Queen Bonnie

 Hi Lady Lily!
Hugs and thanks! I hope you can make your way to TRF again too!
I enjoyed our visit too Lairde Daniel! So glad the staff is working well for Caitlin!
Hope her time displacement spells work soon! I need TRF right now! Way too much reality in my life right now! LOL!

Tis not the length of the staff- but the magick there in!

C Dragonworks

Hope you find your new roomy soon! That would help the evil moolah situation! Looking forward to faire!

Queen Bonnie

I do too! I have been selling things to help with my faulty alchemy spells.  I need a clean, quiet , non smoking Roomie who has $$$ for a room! That will help my problems!
I think they are waiting out this heatwave?
Dealing with my cursed, demonic ,possessed Kitchen Aid Freezer and the ice maker from hell again today. No ice this AM. Drat!  I fooled with it and think I have it working again- but my wand is at the ready. It was NEW and put in in March. It should work. Probably made in China out of saran wrap.
Some days I just want to hide in my closet and come out when it is time for TRF. I need faire. Fie on reality.

I can agree on fie on reality. I finished Volume 15 of my diaries, er, ahem!, journals in less than two months, with about half of it being written/drawn since June 30th! It seems when I'd rather not dwell in this world, I flee to there to write, draw, and dream.....and the drawing is getting more dedicated. Ended Vol 15, start Vol 16 with curvy corner dragons.

Queen Bonnie

Sounds like you have been busy indeed DT! I would love time to write draw and dream- but I keep getting attacked by Nargles!  not conducive to creating. Alas!
I bet your journals are fascinating! how are the Egyptkits?

I think the nargle infestation has been working here as well. We had a new well pump installed in April and now it seems we need a well!GRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Then add Homey the accident prone colt seems to be lame again... hoping it is simply the adhesions breaking loose in the foot...from his other accidents! Then Warchild showed up lame on the same leg as last year... the one he got snake bit on during Ike! I hate nargles messing with the race horses! And worse the water well! Maybe your antinargle spells will finally work if we get rain!!!!!!

DT_Masters

Thank you, My Queen.

How are the EgyptKITS? In a word....WILD. Osiris gave me a good swing last night as I was leaving for work, put 4-5 bleeding holes in my right forearm. I guess he just wanted a little something to remember Daddy by (I swabbed it with alcohol and bandaged it when I got to work). Osiris is everywhere for attention; Isis will come up to me when I am trying to catch sleep and look at me with her innocent eyes. Both are probably wondering what is going on with me being gone so much taking care of Mom's affairs......and coming home with the scent of Mom's cat on me.

It is "comforting to know" that what little progress I make in spring cleaning rapidly falls back into entrophy...........as arranged by the EgyptKITS.

The diaries I started in 2001 when I picked up the first one while shopping with Mom at Garden Ridge. It was one with a cat with a computer mouse in its mouth on the cover. I haven't always been dedicated about making an entry day to day. In Spring 2007, for example, I went something like two months without an entry. When one reflects a lot of the day about life in thought, it's difficult to put it down in writing later..........................these days, HOWEVER, it tends to be a necessary salvation!

Half Price Books tends to be my friend in this pursuit ...... and the reason why my apartment is bursting at the seems in the book area. I go in, search for those which are most conductive to my pen, such as those that are spiral and have line page, blank page, line page, blank page, etc.., and pick up loads of those. There are several blank ones, waiting for that day when they become a volume.

I started adding the drawings to them mostly after seeing the Dr. Who episode "Human Nature"......but also when I had to start to keep acting journals with representations of what my current thoughts were. Ie, I was studying up to play a real person, be their double, so there's a picture in there of Blofield from Diamonds are Forever. That's a simple enough illustration..........some of the other representations are very private. Something of a kick there, actually. While my acting classmates, real theatre arts majors, had school composition notebooks, here I am with my smaller but more formal journals, complete with a book plate on the front that says it's mine. When it comes to books and libraries, I tend to be something of a classic.

But also, in doing my own art work, there's an official public reason, an official private reason, and that it helps me dream into the worlds that a lot here like to play in as they can. Official, public: to develop my pencil illustration skill so I can record in those places where I can't have a camera. Official private: 2 reasons. First of all, I find it helps me have a new appreciation for those I take pictures of, for future projects, by sketching my work. Secondly, well, to live another life by being the art student........by the by, I have been described, once, as one of the groupies of an art teacher, the students who hung around her, followed her around.

And then there is being able to be in the worlds that one cannot actually be in.......but feel like they are in it because they draw it. I was copying a work on my wall the other day, Pena's "Maiden on Pegasus". It shows a topless maiden on Pegasus in flight, she's falconing, she's at altitude, there is a distant castle, perhaps hers, far below. (Right now, I'm not good enough to do my own work, so I practice on others, photographs as my models. Been doing a lot of "Tin Man".)

Okay, one can't be, can't do that.................but drawing it helps me to sort of feel what it is like. Of course, I suppose, it helps if one has read a few Pern stories as well.

It's rather interesting looking back at older diary entries, when things and people were not known for who they were. There was an entry about one TRF years back when Lady Kat was only known to me as "Blue Cat" and Kyva was "Warrior Woman".

Got to go, Volume 16 is calling!

Drouzin

Hey there Bonnie!!  Just wanted to pop in and give a little wave ;D!  I think there is a nation wide nargle invasion, yesterday they threw my take out dinner right out the car when I opened the door!  Oh well, the ants ate well last night.  I think the room mate thing is a great idea; I'd send my son right over but he only meets two of your three requirements.  Sigh, if only he'd learn how to clean. :-*

It tis a shame that we will not be at the Watermelon Festival Parade of the morrow to show the Sherwood Forest to the McDadeans, but alas 106 degrees is not conducive to a fun frolic me thinks!  I wish those stout folk who do turn out a hardy cheer!

106 is not a good thing to play in... unless swimming! Watermelon fest sounds YUMMY!

Queen Bonnie

I was going to join the paraders for Sherwood- but sanity stepped in and told me Heat stroke at my age is not fun! A nose dive into the pavement would not be a good thing for Sherwood- or my nose!
I am offering the  hardy marchers a after parade cool off in my pool.  Alas- I am not a fan of watermelon.
I have someone coming to look at my room this afternoon! Keeping fingers crossed. Getting out wand and brewing magick potions!  I hope this one works out! $$$ would be nice to have.
Fie on Nargles everywhere! I need to send you Nargle Be Gone spray, Drouzin! I need to use some too! PHHHHTTTTT<<<<<!

I'm sure the ones in the parade would love the cool down.  And I hope you have the best of luck with the possible renter coming by.  Crossing all my fingers for you.
May the stars always shine upon you and yours.
