I have the shoulder rolls finished, as well as the Picadils that will go onto the Bodice. The Underskirt is just about finished. I need to add some pearls near the bottom of the hem. Photos coming soon.

Thank you.

Well - with 27 days left until Opening Day, my kiddo does a 360 on her garb design.

This weekend I am banging out a flat cap, caul, pesent chemise, bodice and skirt for her.  She's decided to be a Jail Minion and needs faire wear vs. fantasy wear.

Gosh!  I almost never post in here because my projects are either non existant or just too paultry to display.  lol   But, I'm feeling kind of sassy this morning so I thought I'd at least tell you that I'm doing something!

I've lost about 25 lbs (yay, me!) so none of my garb fits.  We made a last minute call to go to Bristol this coming weekend so I've had less than 1 week to alter my current garb.  Fortunately for me I live close enough to Baroness Doune that I plunked myself into her most excellent care and she has helped me plan and alter 2 of my bodices so I can wear them this weekend.

I took out about 4 inches each, out of 2 different bodices.  Thanks to some creative thinking and cleverness on BD's part, they now look and fit better than before!   I had to completely cut off the grommet sections, and re-do.  Unfortunately, even that wasn't enough so we took in under the arms and split the back and took out some there, too.  It was a good learning experience for fitting.

Now all week I've been taking apart skirts and repleating onto shorter wastebands.  Yes, I could've just made new but I wanted to make use of the ones I have.  (Keep that weight off by altering my favorite garb!)

I also sewed a new round pouch to match my hat and will be sewing another pouch and hat today.  We leave tomorrow!

Thanks for letting me brag a bit.  It feels good to contribute to this thread!  ;D
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

The underskirt is finished. Now on to the Overskirt. I have 4- 45" panels of the Veveteen cut out and ready to put together.

My new accessories.  The draw string purse is extremely bland but I finished it up at 11:30 last night.  Will add detail later.   :)

The burgundy pouch is a circle pouch from Margo Anderson.  Easy to put together and super cute!

Hello all!  I have been watching and reading all your beautiful posts for some time now and am in such admiration!   When I don't have time or energy to go home and work on my own projects I love to take time to look at all yours and feel like I am still in on task!   Below is a snap of my daughter in the gown we made for TNRF this year. She has grown out of everything and wanted something "big girl".  I wonder if this is the place to ask for input on improving the dress?  We both have very very simple clean line design ideas ususally and it is hard to try Elizabethan when you don't usually work with lots of trim and extras.  She suggest a red band a the overskirt hem and I think the foreskirt needs pearled like the stomacher.  I would love an honest critique and all your suggestions. We need it up and running for Ohio at Labor Day.  Thank you ever so much!

not sure if my post will work... this is my first attempt.
Thanks in advance.  And please accept my most ardent appreciation of all your amazing work!

Oh and BTW.. the sleeves are already off and recut in all white: much slimmer and proper silhouette, with ruff cuff.

Definitely pearl the foreskirt. You could also do gold beading on the overskirt in a medallion style on the junctures of the diamonds.

Wonderful things in the make. Love it.

I want to start on a doublet and new shirt for MDRF. I will post pictures when I get it started.

Well done, MG!!

The Maroon Velveteen Overskirt for Kathryn Fae Weldon is all ready to hand sew onto the waistband. It's all Cartridge pleated. Better rest up my fingers for lots of hand sewing.
