my corset!  here is my best friend and sewing buddy holding it out, at the time the picture was taken (8/4) it did not have grommets or lacing, it does now, and fits wonderfully. i just haven't uploaded the new pictures.  it has binding on both the top and bottom, and i am really happy with it, as it is my first boned item :) i thought i was going to panic when sewing the channels, but it actually was quite easy

and here is my necklace that my friend made for me :)

as of now everything (major) is done except my sleeves and a pouch or two that i have yet to make!

Ok, I started sewing a new dress for me.  Although it seems like I have time for everything but sewing.  After sewing all day this is what I have so far

Lovely color combination. How wide are the shoulder straps?

Thank you all.

And as far as the width of the shoulder straps i dont know.  Although after cutting them out from the pattern, I wish I would had made them a tad bigger

Ooh!  The Pretties!  The shiny things!

Lovely work.

Very pretty colors.  :D  Brown is so underused, but can be such a power choice.

Dinobabe

So I have said several times that I needed to redo the bodice in my avatar.  I started on it earlier this week!  I am very excited!

Here is the bodice in the avatar.  It is McCalls 4107.

I am using Simplicity 3782 for the new one with some modifications.
Here is the boning of the new one.  I even made the busk from a wooden paint stick!

Here is what I finished today.  The shoulder rolls are pinned in place at the moment.
