Good Morrow Everyone!

I had the chance to sample some linen Lawn and Holland and I had to gush and tell you all where to get it,  like a true fabric pimp  :D

Linen

1.75 ounce lawn very thin almost see through and soft  48" wide $12.00 per yard
2.00 ounce Lawn/Holland very thin almost see through and soft  48" wide $12.00 per yard
Colors:  White and Grey

3.50 ounce Handkerchief Holland   54" wide at $7.95 per yard
5.00 ounce very soft, 54" wide at $7.95
Ask for colors because there are various as well as white and black

The Supplier is Cherrygirl25 on eBay here is her store:

So I know I am enabling you all but when you see the 1.75 ounce linen? You will thank me!
You only need 3 yards for a Smock and 4 and you can make 2 partlets with the yard!

Don't forget to mention I sent you okay?

LOL

Just requested my own swatches - I'm on a hunt for good quality linen.

Me too!!

Just finished a chemise to send to VMS out of 100% linen. Wrinkles terribly. That was what the client requested. Nice to know where there is softer linen for chemises and shifts.

I can say? Once you have felt the 2.0 or the 1.75 and worn it? You will never want the thicker 3.5 anymore. I am now a linen snob!

I have purchased from the same Cherrygirl25 Seller on ebay and had a very good experience.  Really good quality and took time to include a handy instruction sheet for washing and sizing new fabric before cutting.  Super helpful.  What an amazing difference in the look of the piece when using the right linen. My daughter loves her chemise both right off the line or after a quick press.   Super cool for summer.  Well worth the investment.

What would you suggest for smocks, Cilean - the 1.75 or the 2.0?

Artemisia

I can't find the linen lawn. Is it all gone? *CRIES*  :'(

You haven't had enough coffee unless you can thread a sewing machine while it's running.

PrincessSara

Send her a message - she's got more stuff in stock than is in her eBay store.

On the Smock? I have 1.80 and I have 2 smocks done up at the moment.  I would suggest you go ahead and get either of the weights as they will work
out for you, I thought the 2.0 was a little softer, but that would just be my opinion!

Send her a note! I know she has 300 yards of the 1.75 available, she will make an auction just for you if you like.
