I don't think you've been stepping on toes -- which was far from my intent either, if I have done so.  And I second what Delaney has said - don't leave us!  It's all in good fun, as it has always been.  I know I missed whatever it was that happened at D&B but I can just say that it's silly that something like this has been so taken out of proportion. 

I read the post and saw nothing that sounded like an attack of any kind.  I know Zoe was just sharing her lovelies with us...cute pics by the way.   ;)  No reason to leave the board.  Too cool didn't know you started the whole Hamster thing, I think it is funny!!   ;)

The attack on our beloved Demetrius started a few weeks after faire started when Hamsters started to appear (Hey and I where the first with a funny three legged mouse being added in)

This then turned into a VERY Nasty rumor against Demetrius beutiful wife, Holier than Thou. It was said Hamsters were a revolution against her being let go at faire which is 1000% Poppy-dim bulb and BS.

This attack kept on and then came to a head at the CoRF Un-Offical Cast party when a person who has had negative posts confronted Demetrius about it all. Now this is not 100% of the story and I am not getting it 100% correct but it is the jest of it.

As we all keep saying the Hamster thing started a LONG time ago even before this board happened. Think back to the old board before the time of the Great Server Hack that crashed it.

Zoe raised hamsters and this once again carried on back into making heated posts not so heated. Others jumped in to make it fun and we all had laughs.

Sadly a few have tried to ruin this and our way of taking away anger. how can you get angery at a cute fuzzy Hamster? I know I can't, they are just down right cute.

So as far as the attacks go, it has not happened on the boards or it would have been confronted with. It has happened in the rumpr mill and behind backs and finally someone directly to the founder.

It's sad that SOME people have SO much NEAGATIVITY to the faire, it's owners, it's cast, the site... you name it. And it's not just 1 person but many. And it's even sadder when they try to make something that is light hearted and fun into a HUGE controversy and issue when it's not at all.

All I have to say to end this is. Demetrius and Holier... HUZZAH to you and MANY HUGE THANKS for all the smiles you have brought me and many others.

No, seriously, I'm trying to wrap my mind around this one.  I just dont see the progression.  Generally, you dont leave people wondering with a protest or revolution.  you get right to the point.  you are blunt.  you put your grievance right out there to be dealt with.  Not always, of course, but more often then not that how things work.

so how, exactly, does the appearance of Hamsters achieve anything in protest of, well, anything?

Yup... it was the hamsters that jammed up traffic........ I had NOTHING to do with it....  ::)

This may have already been posted before, but a good reminder for all hamster loving folks...

It's fun and the classic dance is the best! 

My daughter and I used to play the tune all the time 'cause we had over 20 siberian dwarf hamsters at one point in time.  (some albino too.)

I traded 14 of them for two water turtles back in 1996.  One turtle still remains.  No hamsters now though... 'cept the ones that go to the adoption block.

The GREAT thing about Faire Hamsters or Hamsters from the Hamster King is... they never die. Typically hamsters live 3 to 4 years and it's rare that one lives to be older than 5.

So HUZZAH to Faire Hamsters we love them... and their magical and bring smiles to faces... at least mine do.

I had TONS of fun with the hamster on my shoulder with the shoulder dragon people.... running from them cuz their pet was "trying to eat Marley", or having my hamster try to attack theirs, and ending up yelping.... etc.  and Kids loved to pet it too.

even tho the hamster things wasn't originally really about hamsters, it was hella fun having hamsters.

next year I want leashes with wires in them, so we can "walk" them.
