OHhhhh what a great character.
I like the idea of the short circle cape worn over one shoulder, very dashing.
Definitely a black cavalier hat, or to really top it off in a complementing shade of blue with multiple large white ostrich feathers.

spot on amy hehehe.

Definitely some white gloves, no prince charming would be seen without his gloves, after all how would you properly challenge a ruffian that has insulted a fair lady's honor??

  ;D let the swooning begin

Gloves in White? or in Black to match the hat and boots?

I like the idea of a Black Cavalier hat with the white and blue feathers.

This outfit is really coming together nicely, thanks to the help of you devoted (and swooning) ladies.  Indeed, he may HAVE to stop by a few fairs over then next season or so.  If any of you should see him at fair, please do stop over and ... admire ... the outfitting job that you have done... yes, of course it will the garb which you'll be admiring... ;)

Keep the good ideas coming ....

Definitely white gloves, and kept very very clean. I think a flat cap would be better than a musketeer style hat. But definitely have big feathers. I feel like the flat cap is a little more prince charming. And the boots are better off black, than brown, and maybe polished? I think if they're shiny, it would make a nice impression.

Man that is going to be a P.I.T.A. to keep clean.

Yep - all clean and shiny and bright *will* be a pain to keep clean and will require alot of work.  It would be impractical in reality for fighting "ogres & evil dragons", or really any situation that actually required he do anything - in reality (lol).  However, that is what makes him such a "prince charming" - he can *do* those things and still stay clean and polished. ("Rescued the fair maiden by fighting two dozen brigands, traipsed through the fire swamp, and wrestling three alligators ... all without getting a speck of dirt on me, so I could look fantastic for the princess)

white leather gloves with black boots and belt... Isn't that a fashion faux pas or something :)

Wide black belt for the sword?  And about that "flat cap".  What color would you suggest?  I'm thinking the feathers are going to be blue and white.  or perhaps a blue cap with white feathers?  I'm open to suggestions.

I'm meeting with a professional costumer this week - to review patterns, select materials, etc.

I say a blue flat cap (great idea Lady Rebecca) with white feathers.

Oooo that sounds nice!  I would make the cape a darker shade of blue to contrast the robin's egg. with either a robin's egg or silver lining.  As well as the flat cap matching the cape color instead of the doublet or breeches shade.  But whatever you decide I'm sure you will make the petals fall from any flower you gaze upon.

Definitely silver lining on the cape!

I can go with a "Light Grey" silk but not a "metallic silver" material for lining the cape. (rules and regs and all)

The blue shade I'm looking at has a twinge more green in it than Robins egg, but its the color available in the canvas material I can get... ergo...

The flat cap, pants, and cape will be all of the same material, the doublet is a Navy Velvet with silver trim.  White shirt, black boots and gloves.  And a white sash across the chest for the various favors, etc.

That's where I'm at right now...
