2008, What Faires are You Attending?

RaevynCait, if you make it up to Lawton, do stop by and introduce yourself, I'd love to meet a fellow R/F'r!  We'll be performing 6 shows per day (stage bouncing from Children's Realm, Gypsy Stage, and Queen's Stage) but we will also have an encampment area where I'll be plying my nursing trade if needed (am hoping not to be needed).

With work being demanding, and fuel prices being so high, our faires have been limited from what we thought they would be.  I had originally intended to be visiting Master James and his lovely wife this week and then attending VARF, but alas, did not happen.  However...

--We have been to Pyrate Con and St. Louis already.
--Will go to St. Louis Pirate Fest in September.
--KCRF most weekends.

--There is talk of going to visit a friend in Chicago in early August, which would of course mean we would HAVE to go to Bristol while we were there!
--Once we sort out things, either CRF or MDRF, but it is looking more like CRF in November, we'll see.

NYRF (Scattered days here and there, not sure which ones yet)
PARF (Celtic Fling, Sept 20th for wedding and any other days I can squeeze in)
TXRF (Halloween Weekend - I'd say it's a 95% chance I'll be there)

With RPFS now finally over and gas prices being a hinderance, I might not attend as many this season as well.  Still the following are in consideration:

This Year:
-KYHRF-invasion Saturday.  (wanted to stay the weekend, but my traveling companion couldn't get both days off work.  Curse Walgreens!)

-ORF-definitely every Saturday in September (and one Sunday!), and at least two trips in October.  (Thank goodness for that season pass!)

2009
Still up in the air, but definitely ORF.  I'll try making it down to KYHRF again, and I'm hoping to add either Bristol or MIRF.  Who knows?  If we manage a trip to visit my hubby's best friend, I may end up at BARF as well.

TRF - am looking at All Hallows & Pirate Invasion - and possibly one other day, as time & funds permit.

Silver Leaf is a very shaky maybe.
We're planning on a few trips to Michigan (the exact weekends are uncertain, t'will be work-permitting, but we're HOPING to make opening day, Aug 16th...we usually also try for closing day and a few in between).
Mid Michigan is another possible...again, work permitting.

Of course, Tennessee is done with for the year , but I'll be attending ORF with our unofficial invasion (or is it official?) on Sept 13/14!  Huzzah!

this year is rather depressing for me fairewise. last year, I was cast at my local faire (the St Louis renfaire), was part of an invasion of Bristol, and invited for teh weekend to a tentfaire in Jeff city then invited to spend a weekend at KCRF.

this year, I was cast again at STL, but will be unable to do anything else, not even sure if I'll be at the pirate fest this fall

It wouldn't take too much talking...but I can't do it this year, I've maxed out the days I can take off with going to ORF until after October...But who knows what next year will bring?

I've been to NCRF already and plan on attending mdrf, parf, varf, glmf, crf, and possibly pittsburgh this year.
