My friend Jeanne and I made the front cover of the Galena Visitor's Bureau Guide to Galena. It is sent to any potential visitor that asks about Galena. It was taken at Christmas time at our restaurant during the "Living Windows."

And the best part - my friend and I were dressed in Renaissance noble garb!

I can't find the picture that I had taken.  Must have lost it in one of our computer crashes.

That's pretty cool.   8)

How often do they produce a new edition of the Visitor's Guide?

Is this the web site where we could request a Visitor's Guide?  Galena/Jo Daviess County Convention & Visitors Bureau

Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

I just requested a copy of the Visitor's Bureau Guide.  Can't wait to get it.

Here is the website for the Galena Chamber of Commerce who put out the Galenian:
http://galenachamber.com/visitorinfo.cfm

It says you can read it online, but I didn't try it.

Here is the toll free phone # to the visitor center at the Old Market House  888-9-GALENA

and to the Visitor Information Center  877-444-5850 (also toll free)

If you call, they would probably send you one, since it's the visitor's guide.

Our restaurant, The Perry Street Brasserie, doesn't pay to be listed by them, so you won't see any information on it.  But if you are interested and go to opentable.com and look in Galena, you can see the reviews from some of the diners who ate there.

I received the Visitors Guide. It say "2009 Visitors Guide" Galena & Jo Daviess County. It didn't have your picture in it. Perhaps it's for the 2010 Visitors Guide.
It does have pictures of beautiful historic buildings. List of places to see and neat things to do. I especially like "Murder Mystery Weekends" a two-night interactive dinner/theatre event. Woooo, sounds like fun. It did come with a DVD but I haven't watched it yet.
