Mmmmm... during chemo, I was advised that bacon was the Ultimate Superfood!  High fat, high protein is de rigueur, and bacon has it all...    That's the reason I didn't lose all of my hair...  LOL  I had bacon every day, and lost almost 70 lbs!  I can definitely recommend the Ultra Chemo Diet...

But yeah, it certainly was nothing even remotely like fun... OR Faire, which this thread is dedicated to, so we should put a stop to this blatant hijack right now!!!

What was it?!?  12, yes, I believe it was 12 days until some of you lucky stiffs get to stroll through those gates into the magical land of... steak-on-a-stick... cider... and more kilts and cleavage than you can shake a - well, a steak-on-a-stick at!!!

Oh yeah... sick renlet is staying home, so prolly no sleep for me again.  She has a fever... and a cough... and can't seem to get back to sleep.  (sigh)  Poor thing... wonder if she'd like some bacon?

I tried this with my ren babe once...in that I said I wouldn't look. She persuaded me to look because it's just "natural and healthy. Now, TOUCHING, my dear boy,would be VERY hazardous to your health *big grin and loving eyes* I will have to wound you.

One last obstacle. Camping. She has bug-o-phobia! Woman is probably one of the tougher gals I've met. But put a spider within 100 yards of her and she's tap-dancing on my head and screaming "KILL IT"!

honestly, I'm a bug-o-phobe too, but I havent had much issue out there...

ALSO: my faerie costume is about 90% done- wahoo!!!

Uhhhh... sounds like an out to me...  (unless, of course {taking into account the fact that you said "obstacle", instead of "hope"}, you've actually been secretly lobbying to get her to accompany you, and all that resistance is just that whole public front thing guys do when they don't want anyone to know they really would rather have the girl on their arm, after all...)  

Men are so easy to read sometimes... (most times...)

The Lovely Lady Trinn is also extremely bugphobic as well. As in serious panic atacks when one comes to close to her. At faire, in the camps there isn't a bad problem. You can see the comic relief of those of us who know she is phobic standing near her and catching/killing things that fly nearby before she sees them. So far she hasn't had a total freak out over bugs at camp. At home... is another story. At camp... not a problem.
