So, weekend after next, my friend and I are going to TRF, so I have two corsets to finish by then! Eek!  Her's was actually supposed to be a birthday present (her birthday is in May....), and is about half done (majority of the boning channels done, at least).  Mine... well, I have the fabric!  Hopefully, after posting pictures here, I'll actually get the kick in the rear to finish them in time!

Here is my friend's.  (She's an Aggie, and the color of the velveteen is about spot on with the A&M color).




This is the fabric for mine.  The Hancock's up here in Oklahoma City happened to have dupioni silk that was actually 100% silk, and it was on sale for $11 instead of $16, so...  Could not resist, lol.



Unfortunately, my sewing machine appears to be missing a screw, so the presser foot won't stay on... Looks like I'll have to use the costume shop's machines on campus... *sigh*

Okay, I want to make my own. That is why nothing online seems quite right. My excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Working on new garb for Tristan. The shirt is fairly well done, except it needs a frog for the collar, especially as infant stuff needs oversized head opennings. I cannot believe how difficult it is to find white frogs in small sizes. I've checked my local Joanne's, Hancocks, and Walmart (one even has an ok craft section) but can find large in white, or small in black of gold. I'll be trying more places today. The doublet is also my first attempt at piping edges, and needs some refinishing work, but has definetly been a good learning experience. After all, making stuff more difficult/elaborate for the kids is mainly for the practice until I feel comfortable enough to upgrade garb for me and the Mrs. I've also finished a belt for him, simple black leather with green rhinestone studs. Don't know why, but I seem to always picture him in green garb. Next up, poofy pants, and try to find green tights or leggings.
