Puppies!!

My wenchy wench, Junebug, rescued this VERY pregnant and dumped Spaniel mix from a busy Tennessee highway and brought her home until the pups could be born and weaned and then adopted out.

Now they've taken over my basement.

Negative.

We already have one small dog and a geriatric cat.

I'm disabled, and have no business raising soemthing that's gonna need a ton of training and will end up weighing 40-60 lbs.

But.....we will make sure they find good homes.

I didn't spend 8 years as a SPCA investigator to give them to scoundrels.

Not a Faire shot but this past week included some serious work in the vineyard. You need to keep a close eye on the sugar in those grapes. We have lots of wine and jelly now!

Xanthenes The Unbalanced

Drove an hour, walked 10 minutes to the faire, talked with the Foster clan for 20 minutes, and then spent a half hour wandering and shooting before I had to take off.  These last minute work projects that came flooding in at the end of the week were very ill-timed.  Ah well, at least I had time to shoot the mud show.

Always enjoy a good welders flash shot, and that flower is incredible!  It looks almost like something from a SciFi movie...  LOL  The pistil looks like it's actually moving!

Thanks, everyone!

Yeah, that flower went through so much Photoshop that I honestly can't remember what the original looked like.  It might have been a dandelion when I started with it.

Excellent shots Xanthenes. You even caught the mud show with actual sunlight!

There was a little bit somehow seeping through the trees, but not as much as I'd have liked.  Shot everything at 800 ISO (as I was too lazy to bring a flash...or a bag...or extra lenses).  I wound up running to sepia on a few of them as much because I like sepia as because the color was pretty flat.   :)

Would have liked to have gotten a full or even half day in, but the balance of my weekend consisted of chopping video; something I've spent the last 9 hours today doing, and will be doing far into the night.  Need a nap.
