I know that I have a horrible time putting names to faces in posts, so every year I request that people post a full size pic of themselves here as an introduction, and where they're most likely to be found lingering at the faire. It makes it so much easier to find each other!.......

Ohhhhhhh, that's a toughie! Since I'm usually taking pictures, there aren't that many of me.....and when I do get caught in someone's lens, it's usually not that flattering.

I'll be the one with the faery box(es) in the long sleeve poet shirt, split sailor pants, llama wool parka worn as a fur cape, hat, boots, at least one animal bandana around a wrist,........... animal skin bags, maybe a katana ............. or maybe not. Still trying to work out a way to minimize the bulk and while the sword is nice, I find it adds to the bulk.

but.....all that said, this what I occassionally look like (....if this works)

(As I said, usually not that flattering......I look like Stan Laurel!)

I am a fairly shy friend (not one to run up and talk to strangers) but I would love to meet some people!  We will be out camping pending weater for this weekend.  Pic is me with my sweet husband :)

No worries about being shy. I'll keep my eye out for you and pull you over to meet other RFers!

Make sure to come to the POW at noon for the daily Meet n' Greet both days through the whole season, to watch the parade and be apart of the group photo (which happens major weekends, when we have a photographer to take it (that isn't me.))
Still Meggers, just a little more grown up now. :)

Brooke- I'm (suprisingly) pretty shy too- lol so as long as you make it to the POW, we can be wallflowers together ='D

Hey, even us performers can be shy when it comes to real life interactions.  As a character I have no problem, but as myself...well, it takes a little encouragement to introduce myself sometimes.  I totally understand being shy.

bellevivre

AAAAAAALLLLL I'm saying is, in person, I'm a little shy- SO! Come talk to me! I'm just not likely to go up to anyone and go "Hi, I'm Kat, how are you?"

It's much easier to be 'myself' in the relative anonymity of the intarwebz... what's funny is my husband feels the exact opposite!

I am extremely shy also but you need to remember that we really aren't strangers to you!  How long have you been here now??  I try to remember pics and names, which is difficult because I have a horrible memory, and then I feel like I have a reason to approach someone.  I "know" them just haven't met them face to face.
Got faerie dust?

I blend easily into the background, you'll never be able to spot me....

I truly do blend into the background. Please come up and say hi or I'm likely to slip away to avoid bothering anybody.

It's odd, because I'm the opposite. As me, I am a very friendly fellow and prone to meeting people quite easily. At faire, I'm very quiet and focused, and while not shy, neither am I overly talkative or social. *shrug*

There may be pictures of me in garb floating around in some clan members camera that no one has bothered to tell me about. If anyone has said pic, please notify me.

As far as being shy, that's not a problem for me. At work, I have learned to be quiet, keep my mouth shut and smile like I mean it. It's better that way for the terminally PC and the faint of heart. When I am home at faire, and among my people, I am myself.

Didn't get any good photos of me last year so the best I can do is my wedding...

the balding man on the right...and for those who have never seen it...a jewish man in a kilt on the left

Sadly Saturday is the only day in October I can make it this year...and maybe no more than 3 days in Nov...stupid school
On a long enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.
